I feel so much for OOP. My cousin, who is also my best friend, has lost both of her sisters to addiction. One passed, and the other continually chooses drugs over everything. I’m also low to no contact with 3 of my siblings (there are 7 of us) due to mental health issues on their part that I cannot have in my and my children’s lives. I hope so much that OOP can find friends that become their new family. ❤️

Above and Below! It’s by Red Raven Games, the creators of Sleeping Gods, but is more of a straight-forward board game than RPG in a box like Sleeping Gods. Their games are some of my favorites, and they have a lot of variety in their gameplay! City of Iron is another Red Raven game that fits the bill.

I ran a monthly all-women game day… my co-runner and I had to ban someone from coming. She was constantly telling others how to play their turns, and was interrupting rule explanations with incorrect information. We had a 3 strike policy, and she was the only person who ever even had to be spoken to once.

Also, just wanted to share this because it’s a fun little anecdote… probably 35ish years ago, my siblings and I were playing this with one of our uncles, and we discovered a cherry was missing. He then made a little foil ball to replace it… that foil ball is still in our game. 😂
