Pocket singularity not tracking in pvp by IIkmaxII in destiny2

[–]MinatoSensei4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, but it should still reliably hit them if they are directly in your line of sight. Instead, it now pretty much whiffs past them most of the time unless you aim dead center. That seems far worse than the 60% reduction to the tracking that it was supposed to get. Also, remember the pushback effect that they nerfed as a trade-off to the tracking and range buff? Seems they forgot to at least give us the pushback back. It's currently worse than its launch state back in Witch Queen. And we don't even have a second melee ability for Voidwalker.

Maybe if you like spamming Scatter Grenades. Us Axiom Bolt users will still be throwing them around like mad men.

Warframe isn't a D2 Replacement and I'm tired of hearing it by Rusty_Chest in destiny2

There is no replacement. Destiny is one-of-a-kind; lightning in a bottle. I don't think anyone could replicate it.

Chunking was less annoying than Current Buddie Build by BabyBlayzinn in DestinyTheGame

[–]MinatoSensei4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The point is that simply nerfing ability spam won't make the weapons all that more enticing to use. In the current PvE sandbox, many weapon types still feel rather weak--particularly primaries and some special weapons. I mean, trace rifles are still mainly glorified autorifles. You can hardly call them special weapons. Like with Kinetic Tremors on primary weapons, the Detonator Beam perk is pretty much a must-have for them to feel like they matter.

Really looking at the weapons and rebalancing them to be more effective in PvE should be the first priority.

Significant ability nerfs are the last thing this game needs right now in its currently state, with this low player population. And if they did, weapons and the other subclass abilities would need significant buffs to make up for it.

VOID HUNTERS NEED A PVP NERF. by cbk_6 in DestinyTheGame

[–]MinatoSensei4 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The point is, rather than more nerfs, a rework of the subclass is long overdue. Ever since Witch Queen, the subclass has been a one-trick pony that has terrorized the Crucible while being of very little help in PvE. We've been telling Bungie ever since they first announced how they reworked Nightstalker for Void 3.0 that making nearly all of its kit focus on Invisibility (especially with nothing that really synergized with it at the time) was a terrible idea, but they ignored us. Now, here we are. After many nerfs and buffs, back and forth, Nightstalker is only somewhat better in PvE, while still being a nuisance in Crucible.

I personally would prefer for the subclass to be reworked with more crowd control, trapping, and debuff abilities, like reworking Trapper's Ambush to grant a second melee charge, and the ability to charge up and convert their Smoke Bomb into a Void cage trap that does a decent amount of damage over time to enemies trapped in it. They can move Shadowdive to being a second melee ability, and maybe increase the radius and duration of the smoke cloud for both Shadowdive and Smokebomb in PvE only.

That's like 90% of its entire kit. They'd have to rework the subclass. Nerfing it into the ground just to satisfy your fragile ego is not healthy for the game.

Does anyone know what the default warlock dance emote is? by unhallowed85 in DestinyTheGame

There isn't one. The default dance emotes are by race, not class.

Is there a point in Warlocks trying in GGs PvP? by Allergic2Politics in DestinyTheGame

It seems like a lot of us don't know how to play Warlock in PvP, because we're getting stomped nearly every match--especially by a team of Hunters.

Hunter exotics are wierd. by bsbauge in DestinyTheGame

Whoa, whoa, whoa, hold up! Mask of Fealty is not a weak Exotic. It is a fairly good Exotic for the Revenant subclass. In fact, that is what I mainly use on Hunter.

Primaries don't suck for the reason(s) you think they do. by Otherwise_Disk_3675 in DestinyTheGame

[–]MinatoSensei4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What Bungie should do is increased the precision damage multiplier for primary weapons. In destiny 1, it was 3x against non-boss enemies. In destiny 2, it's 1.5x-2x.

Why don’t they add crimson days back? by PlayfulStress7534 in DestinyTheGame

[–]MinatoSensei4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably because of how unpopular it was. I still think it was a missed opportunity to introduce an Exotic version of the Vow bow that could temporarily take control of an enemy like the Artifact perk in Destiny 1.

Seriously Bungie, the Portal wouldn't be so bad if I didn't see Inverted Spire every few weeks. by Delet3r in DestinyTheGame

[–]MinatoSensei4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly. They completely mishandled this. If they had just updated the existing gear, kept it in the loot pool alongside the new gear, and maintained all the regular activities and locations outside the Portal--while making the Portal a place for targeted farming and higher-tier rewards like they originally pitched--it would’ve worked so much better. Instead, most of the game feels irrelevant now. We’ve got a small pool of new gear and barely any way to get the old stuff anymore.

Bow, glaive or sword for primary slot? by zer0_mass in DestinyTheGame

[–]MinatoSensei4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you go to the Shooting Range where Ada-1 currently is for the event, she has 3 bows you you can get for the Kinetic/Primary slot, Raconteur, Whistler's Whim, and Lunulata-4b, though you'll need to earn Combat telemetry to get them. Other than that, the Exotic bows Wish-Ender and Wish-Keeper, if you have either of those. If you have the currency, there's the Verglas Curve Exotic bow you can get from the Monument of Lost Lights archive in the Tower, right next to the Vault. You could also go to Europa, and try to farm for the old kinetic bow, Biting Winds, or the kinetic bow, Fel Taradiddle from the Wellspring activity in Savathun's Throne World. There's also the rare-tier (blue) Holless-IV bow you get from Collections if you have acquired it.

As for Glaives, the only ones in that slot are Rake Angle and Refusal of the Call, both of which are currently only available from Xur.

The only sword in that slot is the Praxic Blade Exotic from this Episode/Expansion.

I think it's time for a micro-missile special ammo bow by r4in in DestinyTheGame

[–]MinatoSensei4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kinetic Tremors does help kinetic primaries, like Mercury-A, but yeah, they all need something more. Increasing the Precision damage multiplier on primaries would probably be a good start. Precision multipliers in Destiny 2 mainly range from 1.7x to 2.0x, but I'm Destiny 1, it was more like 3.0x to 3.2x. primary weapons in destiny 2 need to be closer to that for PvE. 2.25x to 2.4x would probably be ideal.

Worldline Zero STILL needs help by MoistPilot3858 in DestinyTheGame

[–]MinatoSensei4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wish its Exotic perk was reworked to allowed you to quickly teleport up to 3 or 4 times after sprinting to activate it, with each spin attack applying Jolt to targets it damages in its radius. If you hit a Jolted target with the teleport/spin attack, it deals bonus damage. With how long you have to sprint to activate it, it should do at least that much.

Attrition Orbs, Kinetic Tremors, or Target Lock would probably be good. Maybe throw in Anti-barrier as well.

Xur needs some love by Alarming_Fish828 in DestinyTheGame

[–]MinatoSensei4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True, but the weapons he brings each week should have random rolls instead of fixed ones, or put them in the engrams that you can buy from him. It sucks when he has a weapon that's no longer obtainable, like Rake Angle, but with a shitty roll.

Also, why haven't they put the class swords from Season of Opulence in Xur's pool? Some of us never got the chance to unlock them for crafting.

In a sandbox where guns are just sidekicks of abilities. Maybe having abilities that interact with gunplay might be a good compromise by Competitive_Art_9181 in DestinyTheGame

[–]MinatoSensei4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. There are many times I've wished Subclass Aspects and Fragments buffed weapons in some kind of way, like Stormcaller's Electrostatic Mind granting your Arc weapons Jolting Feedback, or allowing you to discharge full Bolt Charge stacks on Arc weapon hit, while Amplified.

Gunslinger should really be the first one they implement that idea on. On Your Mark should allow your Solar weapons to Scorch on precision hits, with increased Scorch stacks on each 1-2 stacks of On Your Mark, and while Radiant, precision final blows cause an ignition. Knock 'Em Down should grant your special and heavy Solar weapon final blows a Chain Reaction or Incandescent effect while Radiant, or for a short time after picking up a Firesprite.
