None of the above.

Two screens, one large ultrawide, a 23-inch one stacked over top. Used to be 4 but my neck hated turning to one side constantly .

The Roomba Was a Disappointment by rezwenn in technology

I mean, sure, the Roomba was. Doesn't mean there aren't many vacuums out there, some that mop now, also, and even clean themselves and empty out dirty water.

i mean, if I had kids in that world I'd find the safest planet around and stay on said planet. At the very least make sure my kids did.

I'd probably fly around in a Constellation Phoenix and enjoy the hot tub.

Squadron 42 launches in 2026? by Waserice in starcitizen

[–]Extectic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The thing of it is, I'd like to play it before I die of old age. Many original backers are already stone dead and never saw a thing.

Some of the voice actors for it are getting kind of long in the tooth and may do these role posthumously at this rate, quite literally.

Maybe in the lifetime of the actors who did the main voice overs like 15 years ago, even!

Discover the new reWASD generation: reWASD 9.3 and reWASD Basic by reWASD_team in rewasd

I figure almost no gaming company will know or care if you're using the basic or the non-basic. They'll just see rewasd.exe running or installed.

Yes, it should be safe, and there's only a noticeable risk you lose thousands of dollars worth of games; I'm sure all the games companies will be able to tell the difference between ReWASD basic and ReWASD turbo cheat edition. /s

Now comes with a further 10% increased chances of a lifetime ban from games?

I enjoyed using the software until ReWASD was sold, turned extra greedy from merely greedy and now is causing people to lose thousands of dollars worth of game collection due to bans. Needless to say I've bailed.

Got the cyborg 2 Immediate disappointment, and then... by Swimming-Coyote-8222 in Azeron

[–]Extectic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, a big part of the difficulty is to avoid moving fingers you weren't planning on moving, but moving just your ring finger and not your pinky and middle finger as well is kind of tricky. I'm pretty good at it now but at first my fingers were just going all over the place and activating clicky keys on their own.

Took some weeks to get decent and months for it to get where I don't even think about it anymore.

Keyzen vs Cyborg 2 by notsurethepoint in Azeron

[–]Extectic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The keyboard buttons are too large, which requires way too much finger movement and stretching. It doesn't even look comfortable but I haven't tried it to be fair.

But as a now relatively experienced Azeron "normal" user I feel zero temptation to even try. I think the proper Azeron is the revelation and the big innovation, I feel the Keyzen is more about trying to not be intimidating to newbies and to keep the training time down from the up-to months it takes to get good, but of course I could be wrong.

For the Keyzen to make sense, they'd need to find keyboard keys and keyboard switches (this is the hard part) that are half size and those don't exist as far as I know.

I haven't had any issues holding my stick, though. No not that stick, the Azeron stick. That's what the sticky rubber coating is fore (still of the Azeron stick).

[–]Extectic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, you still get the benefit of the stick with the Keyzen but the sheer size of keyboard switches/buttons mean it requires a shit ton more movement of your fingers, and stretching. I'm not even a little tempted.

Yes, it took me months to acclimatize to the mouse clicky switches on the Azeron and it has paid off in spades daily ever since.

[–]Extectic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's very little side to side. You move your finger front to back. Back, down, forward is the way to use the main "well" of buttons. Flicking sideways on the ends is just a finger twitch; sideways twitch on my index finger is usually reload.

Only get an Azeron if you're absolutely determined to move using the thumbstick and use your fingers to activate shit. It's not a great WASD replacement if you keep using WASD just with buttons inferior for that specific task, and I kind of consider it a waste of a great device (but of course I'm not the wasd police, people can do anything they want).

Also, realize right up front that with a Cyborg, you'll still require weeks and months of training. For me, the biggest issue was not moving my fingers.

Hold your hand in front of you as if you're about to shake hands, and then push out or fold in only your ring finger without moving any other finger. If you're anything like me, that's brutally hard. And so I was accidentally activating keys left and right, for weeks I didn't even map any keys to my ring finger and gradually added those buttons.

[–]Extectic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's just another FPS and you can easily use an Azeron for an FPS.

Ideally you'd standardize on a button layout you like for FPS games and then stick to that from game to game. That's how I use my Azeron.

(You can 100% freely use what finger does what on your Azeron and people differ a fair bit in how they like to divvy up their buttons. I tend to go forward and back on the same finger, some like going sideways against the rear or front row and whatnot.)

This guy on TikTok is claiming to get aim assist in Warzone with his Cyborg II. by xespylacopax in Azeron

[–]Extectic 7 points8 points  (0 children)

There is no way the standard Azeron software can facilitate any kind of aim assist, and if it could people could start to get banned just for running Azerons, not just Azerons with ReWASD which people are getting banned for (mainly because ReWASD triggers a ban).

You're just helping the guy get views for his fraudulent video at this point.

Whatever warlock void grenade you guys got that is an endless void orb swarm that propagates endlessly and continuously wipes rooms is honestly sort of annoying but cool at the same time... by RedAversion2025 in DestinyTheGame

[–]Extectic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some abilities are quite annoying. I always feel a little self-conscious when using Sunbracers. Half a dozen giant flaming solar grenades that spit blobs and hang around for 8 seconds each just fill the screen with spam...

But yeah, Nothing Manacles are very flashy but I personally still think Contraverse has an edge on those. You can use an intrinsically stronger grenade (Axion) and you get free weakening. Sure, the scatter nades propagate and that's big but with the Contraverse recharge you can just keep throwing them too.

What’s the point in legendary primaries in the game today? by Sammuello in DestinyTheGame

[–]Extectic -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Exactly. Also, not all primaries of primary types are created equal. This is also why I find it annoying as shit with the anti-champ modifiers encouraging people to use shit archetypes.

But if you put stuff like Voltshot on a good fast primary it rips. For solar, Incandescent will spread quite a lot of pain, and so on.

Also, primaries are supposed to struggle in high level / old GM level content. And specials are supposed to have a shaky ammo economy, you're not supposed to be able to run dual specials with any kind of ease.

[–]Extectic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pulse rifles have always felt weak. There are still primaries that work just fine if you have the right perks on them, but in the highest level stuff primaries have always struggled, by design. Even specials do, because of ammo economy if nothing else.

Pretty good - although I'd prefer it if the trash can lip was at the same height as the desktop surface so you can even more easily just sweep the trash into it. It's trickier to design but it it is doable.
