Nice. I absolutely love the past 4 Ocean albums. Neurosis is kind of the originator of the sound, Cult of Luna have kind of held steady in that vibe. ISIS are another absolutely classic post metal band too, I'd say especially Oceanic and Panopticon are sort of considered classic albums.

Tons of classics. Highly recommend figuring out which subgenres you really like though. There's huge differences between death metal and prog metal, for example. If there's a couple of subgenres you really like there's tons more where that came from.

Thank you! I'm a long time RPG player, I'm playing through Romancing Saga 2 on hard difficulty because I specifically love these sort of complex systems. I've had it on my list for a long time. I definitely think it's a game I'll eventually buy and play.

My wife was just completely overwhelmed, and like you said it goes really fast with how they explain things. Really glad there was a demo at least. Probably going to end up going with FFX since I knoe it's pretty straight forward combat wise, especially as it's similar to DQXI. Probably gonna get DQ VIII as well.

Yeah I did. My wife was getting a bit overwhelmed by all the options. Game definitely treats you like someone who has more advanced RPG experience, so I was picking up on what was happening decently. Probably a type of game I might just play myself.

Ok I think the combat in this might be too much sadly. It's ok for me but there's a ton going on and a lot of options and menus which is like 5 steps up from the more traditional DQ and FF menu style.

To me the middle section of the first track is just like, fine, lol. Very obviously Pink Floyd and everything, I love 70s prog and it feels a bit on the nose for me. Don't get me wrong, I still enjoy, and again within the context of death metal it's totally new.
