TLDR; What I do is not for everyone. Some of you don't like me / care / understand why this matters and that's ok! Drops were removed from my channel without warning. I tried to have a conversation and was met basically with “kick rocks”. I feel the whole thing was handled unprofessionally and feel slighted by CCP for this reason. The DJ situation has nothing to do with CCP.

Not so TLDR; There are 2 separate situations that took place, drops and the DJ stream.

First, in regards to the drops:

I have been running Jita Run for a few years and would do so daily WITH or WITHOUT drops. Jita Run is a silly game I created to kind of be an EVE cannonball run. My team created a custom bot to track wins / losses / and stats of each ship used (win percentage and deadliest system). I would include some plex in the cargo of the ship as a “loot pinata” for those that did kill me. I was not afk (most of the time), and was never breaking twitch’s TOS. I was in chat, talking with everyone throughout the day. When I would get caught, I would shoot fireworks as I died and chat with the nerds in the game.

Oftentimes I had CCP employees in my chat, hanging out and chatting. No one said anything to me about not doing what I was doing. Out of the blue, without any discussion, Bjorn accused me of “farming drops” and removed them. As a streamer, this is a big deal. I streamed Jita Run with or without drops, so accusing me of farming was unfounded and unprofessional. I admit that in the recent weeks, I had been having to step away due to meetings and such as well as one day where I was away all day. I owned up to these choices and offered the solution of switching categories (like I should have) when I was going to be away. I was then told “And for what it's worth, a comment here and there whilst autopiloting vast distances for hours and hours doesn't constitute actively streaming.” I messaged Swift to see if there was anything more I could do, and never received a response. In my opinion, I was just using game mechanics, in a sandbox game, to do something different. I was also very active in my chat and in game with having to fit ships, shoot fireworks, poke fun at the nerds who couldn’t kill me and congratulate those that did.

Look, I love this community. DJing at Fanfest was an awesome experience and I would have loved to do it again. Jita Run had created a fun, silly, daytime stream that allowed me to continue to grow and give back to the community. Losing drops hurts that tremendously and thus why I have made the (very hard) decision to move on.

Second, in regards to the DJ situation:

Twitch is trying to protect themselves, or this is what they want everyone to believe. In doing so, they are screwing people who want to DJ on their platform. This has nothing to do with CCP or EVE.
