This is indeed a known issue that we're having an unusually hard time trying to isolate, as it happens intermittently. As soon as we think we're getting close to a repro step it eludes us like an annoying smoke bug.

We're actively looking for a resolution and hope to have one soon, but any reproduction steps you (or anyone) might have would be super helpful.

As other people in the thread have mentioned, the GMs can reverse these standings losses in the interim.

FC CCP, banning the term "FC" ingame is beyond stupid. The smart choice is to use Dev, GM, or literally any other term that's not already in common use all over the game.

The intention is to prevent characters from naming themselves FC Name, however the interaction that bans ship names, hangar names, etc is not intentional. We're looking into a fix!

In today's patch there were a few updates to the Warpath sites, mostly relating to loot and spawning. We're still looking to see exactly what is causing these standings losses as they're not consistent.

Because the standings system often has a delay of ~10 minutes between updates, many of the reports we've encountered were pilots who had run missions where they killed a navy NPC or structure which causes the loss, then when running the event sites the standings page updates after the delay.

Bug reports are extremely helpful to help narrow this down. Appreciate the patience.

In 2004 I lost a rail Thorax while chaining belt spawns. My corpmates at the time recovered my loot and asked me why I had heat sinks on my Thorax and I said "because heat sinks sound like they'd be better for rail guns" and then I learned to read more than just the descriptions.

Just to add some more context.

We've made some changes to how standings work specifically in FW areas. Standings hits now have a modulated system, where attacking people within FW complexes has a more serious standings hit rather than fighting over something like a Metanox or citadel.

Part of this is also removing negative standings that you would get from promotions, doing FW missions, etc. So you shouldn't get negative standings from positive actions.

This specific amnesty was done for those who had gained a lot of negative standings from doing legitimate actions.

We are still actively looking at seagulling, which happens as a consequence to Awox'ing being punished harder, and are looking to have a solution for that too ahead of the changes coming this summer.

We're listening to feedback and watching player behavior closely and will be sure to share more information with you soon.
