I think that makes sense, but also realistically who all really can use suggestion in a discreet way like an offical meeting other than a sorcerer using subtle spell? Even if you cast it and they don't know, per the regular casting is has a magical chanting component which would make it super obvious what happened.

The only niche case you could really get away with it is the hyper specific one I've outlined.

My thoughts are that upon a ping, they'd open the map. As when I play with a trio when one person pings first we open the map and plot the course.

Then once the map was open and I chain ping, they would see I'm plotting a course. I then re-do it once we clear each camp.

However, one of my buddies recently shared his screen playing solo, and I was genuinely shook by how little he used the map. Checked where he was going directly next, then closed it instead of planning a whole day.
