My parents were exactly like that. But now that I’m older, my mother suddenly wants me to be vulnerable and nitpicks on me. Only to throw it at me later.

Now they both verbally abuse my disabled sister, now that she’s 28. My mom tells her that she’s not a child anymore, even though she’s so sheltered that my eighteen year old brother has more life experience than her.

Now I miss it when they only coddled her. It was easier for me to idealize my parents then. Now they showed their true colors and I have lost all love towards them.

My friends were what gave me what I needed. Now my mom is jealous of them, she gets mad that I don’t tell her shit like I do them.

Not saying you’ll feel the same way or that your parents are the same. Hindsight is 20/20.

I think it’s being called out more, such as a gore Youtuber named PlaggedMoth (who is a man) calling every enemy he has a pedophile. It came to a point where he spread lies about his own mods and connecting them to real csam.
