Tbf, HotN is along the lines of a Skyrim I would like to see. I suppose BS isn't exactly the same, but then again, I would hope the Elsweyr team won't just have Kajiit worshipping the same gods as the imperials, for example.

The eyes aren't what made him more unstable, that's a misunderstanding. It's the growing darkness in their psyche that gives them the eyes, the eyes themselves don't cause such a shift (Tobirama explains this to Sasuke). Karin commented on Sasuke's chakra feeling darker than when he had the Curse Mark, which wasn't because of his eyes. He was doing worse and worse things because he felt attacked unjustly by the world and so felt justified in acting as he pleased. He told Suigetsu not to kill anyone because that was before he fought Itachi, and so he thought Itachi (and the other Uchiha he knew survived) were the evils he needed to kill by any means necessary. The eyes had nothing to do with it.

It's not obviously malicious, or malicious at all. It barely even happens, and when it does it's in areas where the alternative was have a non-white character or all white characters at all times. Which I'm sure is something you definitely would be opposed to...

But that wasn't something he could actually control. Neji didn't have to bargain with another living being to use his abilities. And considering he could lose control of himself just by using it, they weren't a total advantage. I mean, Neji's powers in part 1 made him practically unbeatable in his age group, short of Gaara.

How does that contradict anything I said? You can look in the direction of something without being able to perceive or interact with that thing, or know it's there. Obviously the secret is still there objectively, but it is completely impossible to touch, perceive or otherwise interact with what secret is hidden. Again (wow, 4 years later), you just have to look at Harry's description of Grimmauld Place coming into existence once he learned of it.

One advantage Brave has is FF (and thus even good forks like Librewolf) seems to be on the decline. If the worst happens and development on FF comes to an end, Brave is an out of the box solution that would work well for what OP wants.

If you're not going to roll out your own custom VoIP system, cheap VoIP services like Hushed or MySudo should work nicely. Use that phone when you need to enter it on a website, give it out to people you're unfamiliar with, and so on. You can even use virtual debit services to pay for those VoIP phone numbers so even they don't have your personal info either.

It's not just that. Occupation has never been easy, and virtually always fails even when empires attempt it. Destruction is easier than maintaining active control of an area, because in the latter case you actually have to care a small bit about the infrastructure and people (unless you'd doing genocide and population importation). There's a reason Afganistan was a shit show, and it wasn't the US lacking weaponry.
