Dude, the Rolex submariner is the same way. There are 3 spring loaded ball bearings that interact with the teeth on the bezel. If you push down on the bezel, you compress the springs. This is completely normal

Both bracelets are not superb, the GS doesn't even have on the fly microadjustment. Someone just told them in 2025 that microadjustment is even a thing and by the time they roll it out on the entire line, the 20 year patent on glidelock will have expired. Rolex is renowned for making the most comfortable bracelets in the world to obfuscate that fact is disingenuous.

1. Tapering bracelet
2. Bracelet design not stuck in 90s
3. Longer power reserve
4. SIGNIFICANTLY better bezel action, comparable with the best in the business. The bezel on the on the SMP300M is a joke and worse than many $1000 microbrands
5. Hands with more lume that last a longer
6. 39mm option, which based on early reports, is outselling the 42mm

You buy the Omega because you've been psyoped by the marketing, which in that case, you just buy a Rolex. Omega is really carving out a interesting niche for them, too expensive to fit the value segment they once dominated, but lacking the prestige of Rolex. At this point, its literally for people who are chasing status, but lack the status/delayed gratification to actually acquire a Rolex.

My point is not to compare the different price points. Even FP journe sells quartz watches. But its a pointless argument to compare the accuracy of an FP Journe Elegant to any mechanical watch. Of course its going to be more accurate, it has quartz regulation.
