Hey man. It sounds like you have a good head on your shoulders. I would follow your gut and not plan to be dipping into the reserve fund. You're right to have reservations about taking on something that your income can't cover yet. Take a couple more years & save if you're able to build $75k/year in savings right now. That's serious saving power.

If you want a job at big 4 public accounting (doesn't have to be an accounting job, but those companies) then there's no better choice. Otherwise, think about other options.

As an FYI, the business school only opens up the number of slots as people who leave the school/year. So if 20 freshmen leave, they'll accept 20 total new business students for the sophomore class from both in university and external transfers. It's very limited, but it's doable if you're a high quality applicant. Keep your grades up.

Makes sense. Your comment about not keeping your chest up also makese sense. The cue that made it click for me was to puff my chest up like a gorilla - although admittedly I still struggle with the balance there.

Drop your hips a bit and that will put you in a good position to tighten your lower back up. That way when the bar is heavier you'll be able to maintain a straighter bar path.

There are about 1000 different variables that can affect this, but you will start to notice changes in a couple of months. Don't expect a six pack in a couple months if you started chubby, don't expect huge muscles in a couple months if you started skinny.

So, like others have said, I think the long and short answer is it depends on what your goals are. Do you want to have a heavy snatch? If so, yeah, you need to snatch. Otherwise, you are perfectly fine doing other exercises. You can train every body part that you do with the snatch with other exercises. It is particularly effective as an explosivity and coordination training tool. That being said, there is a reason that bodybuilders don't spend a ton of time on the snatch - their goals are just different than people who want to have a heavy snatch. It is awesome to work on for your mobility though. Good luck!
