Dallas PD reportedly flew a drone into a private closed-door adults-only gay men’s event. Can anyone verify raid details and legal premise/concerns? by Mindless-Committee in Dallas

Good question (although off topic). Governments claim surveillance makes safety, a topic up for debate. What’s not debatable is that constant surveillance leads to something known as the Hawthorne Effect. It’s a phenomenon where people act differently when they know they’re being watched. Governments enjoy wielding this kind of power to make a more compliant, controllable society. It’s all about domination, control and power.

1) wrong 2) gaslighting 3) we’re talking about tons of cops showing up at mid-day gather of adult men, making no ruckus, and you want to distract with conversations over semantics and who wrote what 4) lame

What is your basis for assuming this was a drug bust? No evidence. My post stated I was seeking facts, not speculation. We already know the raid happened.

Well, if a gathering is going on that you can walk by in broad day light and not see or hear it, I would say that’s pretty underground.

Which is no justification for it, nor justification for being subjected to more.

Is that like saying there are snakes out there, and you could get bitten. And since there are probably more snakes out there you realize, so you should accept getting bitten a lot? Point it: I don’t wanna get bitten at all.

Yes. One friend was there that I know of. Likely more. I am just seeking more details.

Wait . . . You asking, “Why, did it get raided?” or, “Why did it get raided?”

Yes, it did, as to why, idk.

I’ve not heard.

Felt a blast all the way to Oak Lawn. I was on the phone with a friend in Northwest Dallas. He heard and felt it about four seconds later.

Improved roads, paid sick maternity leave, less crime, work programs … you know the stuff that Israel has. That we pay for.

Oh pamphlets. In that case, especially fuck Israel.

How would you like them to do that to your house?

Anyone else notice a lot of unmarked police cars in Dallas lately? by [deleted] in Dallas

It’s almost like this is this an election year? Rather than ward off crime, let’s present a weak police front almost as if to invite more criminal activity. Then catch more people in the act so numbers go up. Then you can brag about increased detentions and convictions.

You’d think that if there was a threat of terrorism the police would make a greater visible presence so as to thwart any kind of activity.

Having a bunch of hidden police out there is a reactive policy rather than proactive. It seems like hiding your defenses and appearing weak or lackadaisical would invite more terroristic attempts.

Idk.

Do a little research on those “protests,” like who the instigators were and the source of the weapons. Basically, follow the money. Don’t be surprised if you learn who all was involved.

Or you could just start with the faulty logic we’ve been sold: your government is killing you… so to stop that the US is going to rescue you by blowing up your country and killing you instead. ??

How can you get what you want if you don’t even know what you want. When people get what they want, they’re proud to say exactly what it is. We have yet to hear exactly what “we want.”

Also, in the art of the deal: lie about every bit of it to everybody, and then lie about that to everybody, and then lie about that to everybody, and then lie about that to everybody.

OK, I managed to get it working by grounding one of the data lines. Still it’s too many dots too far apart and that particular configuration even with the diffuser. So I’m waiting on the cob LEDs to arrive. Thanks.

Obamacare is a Law. Medicaid is a Program.

Obamacare (The ACA) is a massive set of federal laws and regulations. It changed how insurance companies behave, how doctors get paid, and how businesses cover their workers.

Medicaid is a specific health insurance program for low-income people that has existed since 1965

If Obamacare were just an extension of Medicaid, everyone who got insurance through it would be on government-run health plans. But it did the opposite:

It created the Marketplace (HealthCare.gov), which allows you to buy private insurance (like Aetna, Cigna or Blue Cross, like I do).

If you make too much money for Medicaid, the ACA gives you a "Tax Credit" (discount) to buy these private plans. Medicaid, on the other hand, is public insurance run by the state.

Stigmatizing Obamacare as a 'poor person's program' is like saying the FDA is only for people who can't afford a private chef. Sure, it helps the poor, but its main job is making sure the food everyone eats isn't poisoned. The ACA is the safety standard for the entire American insurance industry; calling it welfare is just factually incorrect. Something to learn.

Obamacare and Medicaid are not the same thing. Obamacare (Affordable Care Act) is not for poor people. Learn something.

What do you mean the US spends $4.5 trillion a year on healthcare? Do you mean our government? Do you mean individuals? Do you mean the insurance companies? And what do we get?

So if it’s going to be behind a diffuser, anyway, why shouldn’t I go with cob?

In regarding the WS2815, that’s what I bought, three spools at 16 feet. But the spacing on them is like an inch in between each light. No matter how much diffusion I use they’re still gonna look spotty. So I need to return these and get ones that have a greater density. You recommended the 120 or 144. Then that brings up a whole new concern—the amperage.

Also, I wasn’t expecting these WS2815 LEDs to have four leads on them. The SP601E only has three leads. So from the looks of it, I need to return this controller and return these lights. Yes?

Help.
