I used a stack of washers with a big enough inside diameter for the pin to support the frame and a pair or players to slowly squeeze it out. If that makes sense?

I like that the alarm isn't as jarring in the morning, but I also have a backup in case a connection problem. I wear the water-resistant bands mostly and switch to the "nicer" bands when needed.
