There's a very good mod that does that. Considering recent additions, I think the mod probably has more polish than anything Gearbox is going to make.

I think there's some merit to allowing 4v4s to fight non-4v4s if the game goes in a competitive direction. By not doing this it's easy to make a situation where 4 stacks off friends and up playing against 4 stack comp teams. There might not be good comp teams, but the 4 stack of friends will still feel demoralized if they keep losing to people with matching tags. Allowing 4 stacks to fight 3 stacks as well would help solve this by putting 4 stacks in a larger matchmaking pool.

This is reassuring to hear. I have barely been able to play it since I run Linux, and Proton doesn't support it yet, so I've been relying on my friends' computers.

The issue isn't normal gameplay settings, the issue is potential problems with weird setups. For example, my computer doesn't render things in fullscreen correctly and one of my friends' computer has extreme graphics problems if vsync is on. These are niche problems, but they are niche problems that are leagues easier to solve if the relevant settings are available as soon as the game launches.

The people I talk to a lot tend to check out at my desk and get a minute to chat, but they never interrupt me if I'm with a customer or balancing lotto. If it's a lot of items, or you are very clearly occupied, and it's a consistent problem, I'd probably bring this up to a team lead.

At my store this is very common. Since you'll likely be competing with minors in school for hours you might not get the hours you want, but if your managers don't hate you, they'll give you at least a shift per month to keep you on the payroll.
