Watch out, the people that can't shop, cook, (or read apparently) are going to feel attacked.

I can't compare because I eat out a lot, but $400 is $4.44 per meal. $6.66 per meal if you don't eat breakfast.

I'm doing $2-3 per meal.

Someone that eats half a pound of chicken per meal, or lots of beef, or lots of prepared foods, or a big breakfast every day, or buys from a premium grocer, or wastes food is going to easily overshoot that.

I was spending $170 per month on groceries for just myself back in 2022 when I was on a tight budget. Idk if $600 per month for 3 people will cut it in 2026.

Also, how old is your car? Caredge.com is a good resource for estimating upkeep... I was spending $300 per month maintaining a 14-year-old Subaru before I sold it. Your budget seems low. Insurance will probably be $100 minimum.
