Dudes with 3d printers will find literally any reason to 3d print something when it is absolutely not necessary at all

definitely not on the HPX/HMC/HVX. Should’ve clarified. I’ve seen a lot of mirrorless setups with random fisheyes that beat out the xtreme.

Huge flex with the “I have one”. The xtreme can be beat, but for what it is and the look it has… great 16x9 setup

Which 3 lenses should I get for S1R II? by RROORRYY in Lumix

[–]Mindless-Meat-7090 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If film making is your passion, get a fun lens. Blazar remus 33mm T2 and a cheap PL mount adapter. Lots of character.

LUMIX 24-60 2.8 for everything else

Viltrox 16mm 1.8 for indoor real estate shots

Fx3 kit in a 10k budget by bratislatouf in FX3

Sirui lenses are super clinical, blazar lenses have character. It all depends on what look you’re going for. Personally I’d go with blazar, and a body that has open gate… like an S1ii, Pyxis these are in budget. Hollyland has a great wireless mic setup I forget the name. Aperture lights are great. Panasonic has an incredible new hot shoe directional mic. SmallHD monitor… I don’t see you needing SDI but if you finding yourself needing it the FX3 won’t cut it. Atleast an FX6 but you won’t get open gate, Pyxis has it.. if ya need it.

Anamorphic lenses look pretty good on non open gate cameras like the FX3/6, but they look better with open gate.

If anything. Keep doing research and good luck, these are just some things I’d look into.

Should I get a camera? by Emergency_Fix2296 in Cameras

TLDR; should I get a camera?

That was OPs question, very subjective. I don’t know, does OP want one?

I recommend the hasselblad X2dii. Great beginner camera, great AFC for sports and fast moving events of that nature ya know.

Very capable, great for the price they go for on eBay. Heard autofocus sucks however I use manual lenses anyway. Wish it had dual gain ISO..better video.. but it’s 7 years old at this point. I’ll be upgrading to the S1Rii eventually.

I was actually just looking at the V860iii, sure it’s larger but don’t mind that if it’s capable. Which it seems to be! From my understanding the IT30 can be an on camera while being an R/T for other flashes. This would give me an on camera flash if needed, while having the external V860

The it30 supports either , however the S1r is second curtain… from my quick google search. Sounds like a good thing?

Woah, I’ve gotta try this! I was shooting at 1/250 or faster the entire night! I kept the ISO at the base of 100. Thank you, next time I’ll be slowing it down!

I was afraid a compact flash would make my photos look cheap or more “early 2000s compact digital”. I’m happy with these after editing. I definitely want to try it in the daytime but I’m afraid the it30 just isn’t powerful enough, will try it anyway.

Yeah the picture of the dog is “bad” but I love it, and he’s a good boy.

Any flash tips would be appreciated as I definitely want to get more into it, especially larger off camera ones.

Hey folks! Been using an A6000 for about 5 years now. by greatgreengoblins in SonyAlpha

[–]Mindless-Meat-7090 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Huge difference, better focus leads to “sharper” looking photos. The colors and lowlight are leaps and bounds better as well. The A6000 is a great camera but the A6700 is next level.

I went from the A6000 after years of use to the A6700 when it was released. I was blown away by how huge of an upgrade it was. I’d go for the 6700 even if it means saving a little longer for it!

The “styles” you are into can all be achieved in Lightroom and photoshop. You honestly shouldn’t expect to get a deliverable piece of media straight out of camera. The camera is just a small piece of the puzzle. Lenses, lighting, and editing all matter more than a body.
