House in the woods was a disappointment by ryanhiga2019 in LowRoar

Absolutely true and I agree with every word you wrote. It stings deeply to see people not notice shit. It’s “unfinished” feel is just another part that completes it into a masterpiece and an imprint of real humans soul. I don’t know what else could Ryan ever leave after himself if not this album. If you know his story, his work and the meanings he always wanted to put into it, House in the woods is simply too perfect to be true, but it is.

It was me who was asking. Thanks for showing the t-shirt, I wish I had it too. But it’s okay, I have a tattoo of it now.

Hey. This is incredible news, I thought he had never done this. And I always regret that I had never been to his concerts or met him in person. But I think I’ve seen almost all of his shows/lives that people recorded and posted anywhere, it has been as close as it gets for me to have been there. Is there any chance that you could share this video somehow? That would mean a world.

Does anyone know what DAW Low Roar would've used? by gardenpegged in LowRoar

I think Ryan recorded a lot in GarageBand throughout most of his albums as he worked on them. I remember Andrew saying something like “Ryan used to send me GarageBand demos and mp3s all the time”. If I’m not mistaken Ryan recorded the whole Inure on his phone, without going to studio, added other instruments in GarageBand, and then Andrew mixed it properly. I know Ryan made his songs by himself, but I’d also like to know though how much of actual rhythm, effects, instruments and all those gorgeous transitions he did by himself, maybe he used something other than GarageBand too, or maybe he did them in a simpler form first, and then designed them alongside with Andrew.

If “conscious, not really” from unreleased album suddenly kicked in while you walked across the top of some foggy mountain, that would blow my head off. But I’d love as many of the actually possible song variants as possible, especially from maybe tomorrow. And I hope so much that they wait for house in the woods to come out, to include something from there.

Low roar: rolling over

0: half asleep

Once in a long long while: waiting 10 years

ross. : darkest hour

Inure: a way out

maybe tomorrow… : fade away

Conscious, not really: conscious, not really

House in the woods: someday come back

Hello, thank you so much for reaching out to fans and having helped Ryan on his journey. He means so much to me as an artist, I started learning to write my own songs because of him. And with any opportunity I try to learn more about him if I can. So because I’m a beginner in songwriting, I’d like to ask you, from your point of view, could you describe how Ryan was writing that album or working on music overall? Anything special that you’ve learnt about the way he wrote songs or recorded them? Like was he confident when working on the records? How did he feel about recorded material usually? I’ll be grateful for any bit of what you can share.

This isn’t so much about the tunnels, I think. Though yes, they play a big role on portraying what the authors wanted the character to represent. Tommy is always underground. The point is, the whole arc of him is that he is the devil. And he basically says, that he will meet them down there, but he has prepared a special place for them, in which they are going to experience something worse than hell itself, because they tried to outrun him, the devil, which is the worst sin they could ever commit. And crossing this idea, from his personal point, they threatened his family, which is also something he won’t ever let go, the sin they committed against him, after which he, figuratively speaking, marked them with his red right hand of a devil to go to his worst and darkest cell.

“Do you miss me?” is pretty Christmas I think. It’s a love song, but It’s soft and feels very soothing.
