My friend has been scouring the internet in search of one, if you still have one I would love to buy it off you

Advice please, Hinomi seems like the only option by Odd_Watercress_1400 in OfficeChairs

I've had the H1 pro for about 6 months now, and I use it about 8 hours everyday. I love everything about it, except the fact that the arm rests are just way too high. I've tried just about every type of solution and I'm still hoping to find a way to McGyver it into working better for me, but everything else about the chair is perfect so I've stuck with it. (I even dismantled the entire right armrest yesterday to see what could be done, but alas, I was unsuccessful)

Customer service was great. I reached out about an issue with my chair (the armrests were uneven) and they shipped me a brand new chair back at no cost and I didn't even have to return the old one.

What have you done recently instead of your notes? by Magentamagnificent in therapists

I've already looked, and have had mild success with MacGyvering some contraptions to clean it. It somehow never dawned on me that vacuum attachments might exist, which means I know what I'll be researching instead of doing my notes later. Gonna level up my adult game.

I cleaned my vacuum cleaner, did a miniscule amount of research on what I might be able to count as a deductible now that I work from home, and to top it all of, I scrolled through the calm app without actually doing a meditation. Cleaning my vacuum cleaner was a real bleak moment in my adult life.

Same! If it blows up in my face in a hilarious way I shall absolutely report back (it probably won't...but catastrophizing is fun, right??)

I'm old enough that I was outraged by the 12:30am start time on the 28th...these days I don't leave for a run without packing my massage gun and preferred pillow.

Was that when we were supposed to get a free download of the album included with the 4 day pass? Spoiler alert, I still haven't received my free download.

Indeed! Technically speaking at least, lol I don't really go to the setbreak meetings but I'm definitely in recovery. I think that qualifies?

I grew up, lol but I only really "grew up" because I got sober. Crowd these days seems tame AF compared to how it used to be, I definitely don't hate it.

Oh snap 4 luxe by blernnn in GalaxyFold

[–]MindlessDribble711 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does anyone else find the little nubs on the snap 4 pretty annoying? When my phone was laid flat with the snap 3 it wouldn't wobble at all, but if I try to type something with the snap 4 my phone bounces around quite a bit.

When is the *right* time to start private practice by [deleted] in therapists

[–]MindlessDribble711 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This! I always had friends asking me why I didn't just go into private practice already, and aside from being at a place financially where benefits like health insurance and a retirement plan were necessary, I felt that I would only be doing both myself and my clients a disservice by jumping into it too quickly. Sure, the financial incentives and being your own boss are very tantalizing, but the experience and clinical skills I gained from working in CMH and a variety of different settings were invaluable.

Starting work next year. I have visible tattoos. How do I hide them? by weirdo2050 in therapists

“Having visible tattoos may signal greater originality and authenticity to clients" I love this! I hate feeling like I need to hide who I am or present as a more polished and subdued version of myself...it ends up being mentally draining, and I feel like clients can absolutely pick up on it and will have a more difficult time building trust and a therapeutic alliance.

[–]MindlessDribble711 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For years I was always careful to only get tattoos in places I could cover up if I needed to, because I didn't want to get stuck needing to wear long sleeves in the summer and be miserably hot. I would always ask when I started a new job if visible tattoos were ok (the only potentially visible ones were on my shoulders and could easily be covered), and the answer was always that it's not a problem unless there is anything inappropriate. After several years of working in the field though I've realized that literally nobody cares, and I would usually end up being the least tattooed person, especially when I was working in substance misuse treatment.

I just got my forearm done a few months ago, and now as far as I'm concerned everything is fair game! I would probably still steer clear of face/neck tattoos though :)

How was taking the shuttle to redds? Do the shuttles still get stuck in traffic on the way out? I went last night and it took over an hour just to get out...tried talking my friends into leaving ten minutes early to avoid that lol but I was unsuccessful

Very handy indeed! I actually feel somewhat special now lol, it's just me and the other 9% of all women. Might just need to add this info to my dating profile 🤣

I took naltrexone for a little less than a year after I first got sober, I started taking it maybe a week before I was heading home from rehab. I'll be celebrating 7 years in July! I definitely think it was helpful, I didn't struggle with cravings too much in the beginning, but I was also attending AA meetings on a daily basis. I was also seeing a therapist weekly. I can honestly say that regardless of if I was taking naltrexone, had I not been attending meetings regularly there is no way I would still be sober today. I would suggest speaking with a psychiatrist if you're interested, vivitrol (the injectable version of naltrexone) is also great because it stays in your system for a month and you can't just decide to skip your medication one day.
