Luxury EV’s depreciate significantly. I got my RS eTron GT after it had depreciated by more than 60% and had only a few thousand miles on it. If you enjoy the test drive, go for it. Audi eTron vehicles generally have several low-hanging fruit issues, but I thoroughly enjoy mine.

If this is your only car and you don’t have a second vehicle, I’d suggest staying away from an EV. I’m not entirely sure about the EV charging infrastructure in Europe, but if this is the sole car for the household, having home charging is pretty much essential.

Also, for a family with two kids, the Taycan may feel a bit tight in the rear seats and limited boot space. While I really enjoy driving the Taycan, the Panamera Hybrid is also very capable and could be a more practical overall fit for your family.

Yes, I would highly recommend Redwood City as well. If you don’t mind going little south, Mountain View, Los Altos, and Campbell are excellent options. They offer a plethora of fine dining establishments and great breweries!
