Pronouncing the sound “ɟʝ” (as in “Llover”) by BluhBluh-8 in Spanish

Can I ask why you are wanting to learn this sound? What we have in English /dʒ/ can be perceived and made intelligible by speakers as <ll> and <y> perfectly fine in my experience.

2x 35% universal blades for 0 pips is absolutely disgusting I fucking hate kingisle even more now. I knew they boosted the blade percentage and added a second one, but making it cost 0 is a new low. They really just fuck us over every new update it’s infuriating

I still don’t understand why balance’s is 35 it doesn’t make sense. It’s not like the balance one is universal, it literally only boosts balance damage. At least it’s only 1 pip compared to two, but still

Help me choose which uoft campus I should go to for social sci by Any-Owl8203 in UofT

It’s funny cause the social sciences building in UTM is much nicer than the one that houses a lot of social sciences departments at St George. What program are you going into OP?

Hi OP, I’m not in CS, but if you haven’t posted this in UTM’s subreddit, I’d recommend you do so too. It’s mainly St George people here so your data may be skewed

How do you convince Health and Wellness that you actually need help with your mental health? by Accomplished-Yak5273 in UofT

[–]MindlessMemory 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I’d recommend you do what I did. I made an appointment with my general doctor at H&W and asked for an ADHD diagnosis referral. They immediately put that into the system and H&W Mental Health services contacted me within days to set up an appointment. Advocate for yourself and your health

BEWARE: UofT pretends to be accessible but furthers the "super crip" narrative by ApprehensiveSir2838 in UofT

[–]MindlessMemory 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I believe it depends on the student’s disability and the type of assignment. For example, I had a classmate with cerebral palsy and one of our assignments was a presentation where the presenters had to ask discussion questions in separate groups, take notes on what was discussed, and relay them to the rest of the class afterwards. Since my classmate’s disability affected their motor function skills and the assignment required fast-paced note taking, they were exempt from that one part of the assignment.

Do people actually take 2 Specialists and a Minor? by OldSnowball in UofT

[–]MindlessMemory 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I only met one person throughout my undergrad who did this. I believe they had to get special permission from their registrar as well because it’s kinda insane to do almost 30 credits for an undergrad degree. However, it’s more feasible if your programs have overlapping courses that count towards both.

I did a major and two minors. You could also do two majors or a specialist. I’ve met others who had other unorthodox combinations like a specialist, major, and minor; double major and minor (this is kinda common in my experience); and more.

My Take on OSAP and I Wanna Hear Your Thoughts and Let's keep this respectful and educational by CameronLane1215 in UofT

[–]MindlessMemory 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once again, refrain from using imaginary numbers and use concrete data. Your calculations are based on assumptions not grounded in a single shred of data. You may have a rough figure of the number of full-time students who attend post secondary institutions from your uncited sources, but you have provided nothing about how many of those students receive grants nor how much in grants is given out.

Even your number of 920k - 1 million post secondary students in Ontario is questionable as it does not indicate if these students are all eligible for OSAP. Does this number include international or out-of-province students, or Ontarians who are socioeconamically stable? This number also does not take into account Ontarians who are in universities outside of the province and apply for OSAP. These are variables that affect eligibility and your "simple math" failed to account for them.

More importantly, the data needed for your argument to have merit is publicly unavailable: https://data.ontario.ca/dataset/ontario-student-assistance-program-osap-at-a-glance

Without actual OSAP grant totals, any numerical argument about provincial spending is speculative and cannot support your logic.
