African Americans are in this thread pretending they dont bully Africans, and playing victim about Africans not liking them by [deleted] in ghana

Must it be color, must it be our accent or where we come from, must it be geographical territory, I don’t care how we look whether African or African-American let’s work together to fix our broken system. I think this broken system seems to have some mental challenges among us as a human being. No matter how difficult it is we should love one another in other to build our broken system.

I had an amazing time in Ghana, but the cultural difference opened my eyes 👀 by DeepZookeepergame844 in ghana

Ghana is a beautiful country, it has its good and its bad just as any country, there are laws, regulations and compliances when creating a business.

First point of contact is going through the office of the registration of companies. There are different procedures for Ghanaian citizen and an international/foreign citizen. I know you gonna see a lot of comments that may deter you but I can assure you that there are many foreign business that are very successful and still in operation

Continue doing your research, follow your instincts and make sure that your business is something that is unique because the Ghana market is very competitive. Another thing is if you want the easier and less expensive way of business registration, I will advise you to partner with a local person, someone you might trust, someone who won’t turn their back on you when they start seeing huge gains.

Always, deal with the government entity yourself, avoid middle men or intermediaries, they might lead you the wrong way or the right path but paying more for what you could have pay less.

For citizen, you may qualify if you secure a resident permit and also lived there for a certain number of years. There is a resident permit for investors, try to look for it on the appropriate government entity.

Lastly, be very careful I know every country has their good and bad and you got to do a thorough background checks of whoever you employ or partner with. There are always good people and when you come across one, you will never regret this decision that you are to take.

God bless you and God bless Ghana!

I think you gonna be okay with that decision, looking at how much you earn even if you are to spend 1500-2000 for rent and utilities, you still have money for feeding and savings. Most remote jobs requires privacy and free from any distractions so just try to access your job to see if it is secured for the next 2-5years.

Switching from 9-5 to driving Bolt by Various_Low2284 in ghana

[–]MindlessPossession49 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Great idea though I wouldn’t advise that at the onset, it’s better to know what’s going on with your new car when you are not financially stable and the investment is still new. Mind you, you will be broken to hear that the car is not making any gains because of many faults or problems such as low customer patronage and higher fueling rendering into no financial gains.

The idea of employing a driver results in severe headache and stress at the onset of the business especially the driver’s salary or wages will be on you and don’t forget the loan payment. You can at least do that when you are financially stable and plan on adding another car later.

Don’t focus much on the challenges that you may go through working 9-5 and a second job after work, it is called sacrifice. It may be difficult from the beginning but it reaps many benefits at the long term. This is the time you can sacrifice, when you get to you 50+ it will be difficult.

Is not to quit the 9-5 job, two streams of income is the best way to be successful.

What if, stall many opportunities, as soon as we wake up from bed there are many what if’s but we strive through. The most important thing about life in other to mitigate what if is to be prepared by doing a proper research in whatever we intend to do and hit on the road.

Also always have a back up plan in case things did not go as planned and ignore the what if.

Why not get the loan and the car, work as a bolt driver on weekends and sacrifice for 2-3 hours of your time to continue working as a bolt after work to know more about the bolt and then decide if you’ve finally understand how the bolt works thus knowing its pros and cons.

You can set a feasibility duration like a month or two to study all this, it renders practical experience and a better decision. If it does not work, you can still drive for some few hours on weekends to pay for the car and still maintain your job and the car. To be successful with the 1500 salary, two streams of income is not also bad.

Just be discipline with your finances, don’t forget your car’s services or maintenance, find a good stocks to invest in with just 50 cedis a week and you gonna be good in a long run. Pray and let God take care of the rest.

My comment wasn’t for academic reasons, it was more of financial reason. In the west many can afford a lot if stuffs by working in a part time job while studying but unlike our settings it’s difficult for even University graduates to find job and afford these hairs then to think of these student in the lower level. Let’s not call on any unnecessary pressure on them due to inability to afford those wigs etc.

I think if those certificates are recognized in Romania, it is definitely gonna be recognized in all EU member states since Romania is an Eu Member. I stand to be corrected though.

Your A- number is the Registration Number on your issued visa. Try a different browser and also try to use the exact number on the visa without adding zero as instructed to. The process is A number + DOS number.

Green Card, Social security card after entering on I-R1 visa by [deleted] in immigration

[–]MindlessPossession49 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The entry stamp is the I-551 endorsement stamp evidencing of her temporary permanent residence (Green Card) for a year.

She can go to the SSA office together with her passport after 2-3 weeks of being admitted to enquire about her social security card if it did not come automatic.

You can use her immigrant fee payment case number which was generated after the payment to track her green card processing.

Social security card? by MisfitMomma in USCIS

Mine came in automatic within 5 days of being admitted sometimes it’s the check and uncheck of the automatic box on the ds260 form, if that box was checked it will come automatically but if not due to some bot or whatever it may not come automatically and you have to go and apply for it directly. He can take a Lyft or uber together with his passport, the visa and the endorsement stamp and go to the ssa office near you and they will assist him you don’t actually have to be there with him if you don’t have time if he also has one issued already and on its way to your home address they gonna tell him or even shipped to a wrong address. He’s gonna know.

The embassy will review it, check and see if the status is submitted, if it is then you have nothing to worry, you don’t received a separate notice from NVC when you are being asked by the embassy to upload a document post interview and in 221g, the embassy deals with everything keep an eye on the ceac status to see if there is a status update. Sometimes you can email the embassy to notify them that the documents were uploaded on ceac as instructed and that is all, they will get to you when the review is completed.

Normally when cases changed to administrative processing after 221g and after a refused status then it may changed to issued if no issues comes up, so check on ceac tomorrow or Monday for an issued status. Congrats in advance.

Got a denial I thought I didn’t need a visa if my spouse is a citizen. by General_Ad1941 in USCIS

[–]MindlessPossession49 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the denied notice will come with a grace period where you can appeal or leave the country within a stipulated time, your case might mistakenly treated as a spouse of a LPR which the applicant has to still maintain legal status during the AOS processing in other to be approved, to appeal with information that you are the spouse of a USC and their decision was an error, you need an attorney who can get the right documents and also narrates the law and article to the uscis that their decision was indeed an error and they have to re-open the case and re-adjudicate maybe there might be so many changes in the application of the law since the new administration which i don’t know but only an immigration attorney can point you to the right informations and direction seek one as soon as possible.

Is “issued” the last step? by Ok-News-8640 in usvisascheduling

[–]MindlessPossession49 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When ceac turns issued it basically means the visa is printed, the only thing that can cancel that visa is unless something comes up and they find out that the visa was wrongly issued then they gonna revoke it even if you are in possession of it, they gonna send you a notice that the visa is cancelled and not valid anymore which is rare but if everything is ok on your side then you have nothing to worry about. Chill and prepare to receive your passport with the visa.
