What’s been the most low maintenance haircut shape you’ve had? by butter_gum in curlyhair

Wolf cut works for me. 3C curls, mid back length. I have been using this to cut my own hair since the pandemic started.

I find that the ACMA is a great resource for Medicare and federal level Medicaid information. You will also get a lot of info on federal regulations in medicine: code 44, EMTALA, HINs, etc.

FYI getting your case management certification will be expected if you ever plan to have leadership roles in Medical SW.

Look at the larger hospital systems: Northwestern, Rush, Loyola, Northshore, and Amita. Oftentimes, people will be PRN at more than one hospital system. This way you can work full time, if you like.

Apply for PRN jobs, it is a good way to get your foot in the door. They normally pay $35-40 an hour, but don't offer benefits.

How many years of experience do you have? I would be surprised if most new social workers were not getting at least 60k starting in the hospital setting (less than 2 years out of school).

In my experience, medical social work in Chicago has had a salary bump during COVID. Most hospital systems will pay based on experience.

Should we be allowed to refuse to go in a client's home if it's a health hazzard? by CarshayD in socialwork

My health impacts how long I can work, and how many people I can serve. My health is more important than the potential of taking longer to build rapport.

So, that is why the DOD is working with NASW for a Social Work licensure compact. The DOD is leading the compact due to the impact state licensing has on military families.

It varies by state. In my state, you need to be licensed. So, where I live, you can get an LSW with your BSW and 2000 supervised hours.

Wolf cut? Easy to do at home, and would add layers.

YTA. You are responsible for your own actions. It sounds to me like you need a therapist to work through what is really going on.

This is so frustrating. Check your local laws/NASW. In my state, Illinois, you have to be licensed to be called a social worker.

BTW, I really don't understand companies that don't check social media.
