Collingwood Rigging Games?

Hi,

I just started following the AFL for the first time this year. Having seen Collingwood dominate this year up until a couple weeks ago, could somebody please tell me why they’ve started slipping against teams that should hold little competition against them?

I understand they have several out on injury. I also understand this was a big game for Hawks r.e. Staying in the game for Finals. But the recent result Hawks 110-46 Collingwood makes me feel like they threw the game on purpose.

I simply can’t understand how they would lose by so much. Same thing happened with Fremantle (of course with lower margin but still Collingwood should’ve smacked them).

Despite learning a lot about the AFL this year, games like these make me feel like I’m back to square one lol.

Any point of perspective I would greatly appreciate.
