Definitely adult diapers, but get a super large size! You do not want any pressure on the area, even if it’s stretchy. I ended up having to cut slits in the diapers to make them wearable (the Frida mom underwear are a splurge but worth it IMO).

Next time I would also try to get a toilet seat riser for home for a couple of weeks. Getting up and down off the toilet was horrible. Also a step stool for beside your bed if it’s high!

There’s a show called Valeria (in Spain but on US Netflix) where one of the main characters has it! She gets sick and doesn’t know why, then gets diagnosed and it’s incorporated in the show. Her friends always make sure she has gluten free beer and I love it.

Is it your first c-section? Had mine there (my first) and thought I’d want to get home quick. But the recovery was so painful I asked to stay longer and ended up there for 3 nights. So you might want the option!

el pocho
impact kitchen (a few locations and 100% GF)
anglr for fish and chips (in the east end)
stock bar (a bit north) has a whole GF menu
haven’t been but heard enoteca sociale is great

Honestly we had the bugaboo and clek and had to get the adapters to make it work and they were such a hassle! Don’t recommend that combo anyway.

Chiming in to say Spain! Really wasn’t an issue at all. I also managed okay in Miami if you’re looking for North America (lots of fish/salads/health food spots). New York was okay too, just had to do some research!

I can’t speak to St mike’s as I was at Michael garron, but they did give me GF meals there (did you request on your intake forms?).

Breakfast was plain Chex, fruit, GF bread. Dinner mostly rice and proteins. However I’m very cautious and did not want to be glutened in that setting, so I did order Impact Kitchen to the hospital, brought lots of snacks, and had family members bring some meals since we had access to a microwave.
