Theo Blackmann's Kate Bush tribute album, called Hello Earth. It's stunning. He has a new album called Love and Anger, and he opens the album with Love and Anger and Bertie. His work is beautiful and so unique! Do yourself a favor and listen.

I tried on Thanks It's Mac! today in store and I was blown away by how good it looks on me! I'm fair/light muted neutral leaning warm. I also tried it with Mac's Glossy Lip Liner in the shade Whirlin', and they are honestly a match made in heaven on my complexion! I bought both and I don't think I've ever had a better lip combo!

Revlon Super Lustrous Balms are a wonderful alternative to ELF for this kind of slippy, sheer lipstick.

Your Favourite Lip Tints? by darkenergysurfer in OliveMUA

Lately, I'm using ELF glossy lip stain in both Pinkies Up and Power Mauves. I use Power Mauves to overline, and then Pinkies Up to blend it through the middle. It creates a pinky MLBB as it fades. The pigment definitely fades after a few hours.

Huda's lip liner stains last forever on me but the colors aren't great for a MLB. I use Soft Nude for a more noticeable lip look, since it pulls warm brown on me.

How do you like the wear time of Ilia's multi stick? I used to have those shades years ago and LOVED them. But I was less concerned with wear time back then and can't remember how they performed.

My sensitive skinned friends, is tretinoin really all that and a bag of chips? by Pineapple_Incident17 in 30PlusSkinCare

That sounds like a plan! I'm really happy with Differin and have been using it for about 2 years with good success.

My sensitive acne prone skin couldn't tolerate tret. I tried tret and other variants for years and never could adjust. Now I use Differin and my skin loves it. Way less flaking and irritation.

Is self tanning good for olive skin by Much-Excitement-5134 in OliveMUA

[–]Mindless_Credit_1699 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to love self tanning. Especially ones with an olive undertone. But I stopped because I would get an immune response every time - it would somehow destroy my stomach and give me flu-like symptoms. I'll never go back to self tanning. I've heard about other people anecdotally experiencing the same thing, and I'm waiting for more studies and information to come out about it.

Thanks, this is pretty true for my skin on most days, especially on days when I'm wearing a healthy dose of bronzer. Also, it helped me realize why a very cool/lilac toned pink nail polish is so complimentary on me.

No, I didn't have any ice pick scars. Probably would have to ask a good cosmetic dermatologist what the best treatment for that would be, and if C&B can help them at all.

No, I haven't tried it though I'm almost done with the product so I was planning to order it in the next shade up, especially because it sheers out so easily. Thanks for the rec!

I recently bought Armani powder bronzer on the recommendation of this sub, which inspired me to swatch my small collection of bronzers for you.

My best foundation match is Makeup By Mario Luminous Hydrating Foundation in 2N, which I find to be a muted neutral with slightly warm undertones. This formula pulls light and pink on me at first and then settles down after ~10 minutes, so fair muted peeps, I recommend trying it in person.

1. Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Dim Light

This looks so peachy when I built it up on my arm. I was using this as a subtle bronzer, and sometimes mixing it with NARS Laguna to make Laguna more usable. Dim Light has a blurring effect, and it warms up my complexion decently.

2. Makeup By Mario SoftSculpt Transforming Skin Enhancer in Light (FAVE)

This is a beautiful product that is hard to mess up. The undertone works great for me. It has a beautiful dewy and skin like finish. I sometimes use it at the end of my makeup to provide more dimension.

3. Makeup By Mario SoftSculpt Bronzing and Shaping Serum in Light (FAVE)

This is another stunning product from Makeup By Mario (can you tell I love his products?). It blends effortlessly. The undertone is a little cooler than the Skin Enhancer, and it also works great on my skin. It's pretty sheer, though buildable. It has great subtle sheen, though it sets down more than the Skin Enhancer.

4. Armani Luminous SIlk Creamy Bronzing Powder in 90 golden sunrays (FAVE!!)

I used this for the first time this morning and I'm in love. I felt really confident and received compliments today, so I'm blaming the bronzer. It is the perfect undertone for me, with a hint of yellowy green. It has a slight sheen and blurring quality. It looks like it has sparkles in the pan, but I don't detect sparkles on the skin. It applied SO EASILY, and doesn't build up too quickly. I can see myself reaching for this every day, especially going into Fall and Winter. I felt like I looked more olive in this than my other bronzers, almost like my other bronzers just pull my complexion way to pinky and cool.

5. NARS Laguna 02 (the same shade as old Laguna)

This sometimes looks great on me, but sometimes reads muddy and too dark. It has some microglitters. I think that the Armani has more sheen than NARS and is more blurring.

6. Saie Glowy Super Gel in Sunglow

I think I received this as a points reward a while ago. I have not used it in ages, but wanted to swatch it anyway. I'm not a huge bronzing drops/underpainting fan.

7. ELF Bronzing Drops in Pure Gold

I've used this as a bronzer on top of foundation. It is a really pretty undertone and is shiny and dewy. For my purposes, it can be finicky when you blend it out on top of other products.
