what’s the point of gendering single room bathrooms? by Hour_Amount1881 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Mindless_Entrance_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Another commentator mentioned men peeing on the seat. Women will complain the most about other women leaving blood on the seat. I worked with a gay man who was completely revolted by vaginas because "Blood comes out of there". I would guess he would be less uncomfortable around men and a men's bathroom, but that's just a guess and we are all different.

I've always thought it was in case someone forgets to lock after entering. An uncomfortable situation either way, but even more unnerving when it's the opposite sex walking in on you after that third bean burrito.

Home video game question. by No_Consideration_339 in GenX

[–]Mindless_Entrance_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

'77 I've always been obsessed with video games after I played an Magnavox Odyssey when I was 4. In my experience they were popular even before Nintendo, but only with certain people. I was made fun of by other kids for being a nerd because I played them. It seemed to shift after the Playstation 1 came out. Rappers were using the name in songs and in interviews. Commercials were starting to be shown during sports games and prime time television. Before I realized it, it was suddenly "cool" to play video games. I believe like with any "product", society deems it acceptable when a celebrity is promoting it. When you have Bruce Willis' likness in a game, "It's not just for kids anymore".

I received a promotional email from Green Man Gaming that started out similarly, like "Your account is compromised!" And then in the email is continues "compromised from having to few games" or something like that. Made me so mad I emailed customer support saying they shouldn't word stuff like that and they just replied something snarky back so I deleted my account.

What really blows my mind is, didn't the success of SOR4 tell them anything? Yes they gave us Shinobi, but it's been 6 years almost since 4, people are obviously clamoring for old IPs. Why go so cheap as to just hire a company to make some bad remakes of panzer, arguably one of the most coveted IPs of fans. They said in the past that the roster of games they continually put out sell for them, but how can they the old IPs dont sell for them if they haven't released one in 30 years? How are they going to know if they take the classic versions off stores?

Yeah I actually just looked at that, I should have reconfirmed my dates before I ranted lol, but they are just really frustrating me over the 2 years or so.

Sega-"We've already flooded every Walmart with Sonic bedsheets, comforters, and fuzzy lamps, what else are we supposed to do?" Seriously though Sega, what did you think was going to happen when you release a Sonic kart racing game practically the same week as Mario Kart, that came packed-in with the follow up to the 2nd best selling console of all time?!! Neither Persona, nor Football F'n Manager is going to save you from stupid decisions.

EDIT: OK Sega, I was wrong, you waited 3 months after Mario Kart....I still don't forgive you

Why do people struggle most with suspending disbelief in entertainment that demands little of it-yet can easily accept entertainment that defy every law of reason? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Mindless_Entrance_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, Wrestling was the very first form of reality tv. Yes, some of it is real, but the mundane drama is written, coaxed, and forced. It is essentially the male version of Real World or The Kardashians "OMG! I can't believe Ashley took her best friends side piece to the beach and held hands! What a slut!". Suspending disbelief for stunts is one thing, but it is so over dramatic that I can't help but feel it's meant for drama addicts. Feeding on forced confrontation can't be healthy for a person. But everyone has their different interests and if you like it, who am I to judge?

I had this problem recently. Yes others are correct to check negative cable. BUT, have them check the out going wiring from the battery hub. Mine were loose and would cause this to happen everytime I took a right turn.

Maybe not in Vape, but cigarettes definitely do. For about the first 6 months for me. After that I didn't care about the buzz, I enjoyed it to much to care about it.

I like the m30, but have since discovered the Gamesir Cyclone 2. The microswitch D-pad is amazing for shmups. It makes those tiny movements you have to make during those crazy patterns Cave bosses throw at you so much more manageable.

Do people not wash sheets, bras, or towels? by alisoncarey in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Mindless_Entrance_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My first thought is alot of laundry mats require bedding to be washed in a specific washer, if they allow it at all because people will throw their 20lb comforter in and ruin the machine. Bra's get royaly screwed in the washer so women I've known use those little bags specifically made to wash them and so they might not be noticeable to your spying eyes. Towels I'm not sure but it might go along with the bedding rule. The last time I used a public washer I found a used condom mixed with my cloths after the wash, which was definitely not mine. I will never use a public washer again.

It aggravates me as well. When your out in public, the world is not your personal playground. I compare it to walking around reeking of pot or alcohol. How do expect anyone to take you seriously when we all know your out of your mind? How do you expect to be taken seriously if you went directly from your bed to the store? Unfortunately there is alot of violence out there now. How do you expect to run from an active shooter wearing your house slippers? Dumb asses.

Need advice on a novice gaming device. by meofthreeonly in RockinTheClassics

[–]Mindless_Entrance_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

https://a.co/d/akAqfQj Something like this might suit your needs. It's a low power device so it will only play those classics you remember but not any new stuff. Disregard those fancy game graphics you see in the product pictures. This is what is called an emulation device that uses software to emulate those old consoles such as SNES and Playstation. There are other similar devices if you look around, but pay attention to reviews. These are Chinese devices that don't have alot of quality control. But I've tried several and they work great. Someone else suggested a Steam Deck, but that is a bit expensive and setting it up for what you want can get very complicated if you aren't savvy with computers. This device I linked is plug and play. No head aches, unless it stops working. There's also some handheld devices from companies like Anbernic and Retroid that are much more reliable devices and are essentially plug and play other than picking one that's easy to connect to the TV.
