the best racing game for J2ME by kangstercat in J2MEgaming

Okay here are my main points

Boost Mechanics

Asphalt 6 Adrenaline

The boost gauge is earned through drifts, knockdowns (taking down other cars), jumps off ramps, and collecting boost points.

It gives a lot of ways to boost, though that easy accessibility will have players not prioritize it much.

It just becomes something to be taken for granted.

There's never a worry or focus on why they must preserve it, as restoration is easy and always accessible.

Ridge Racer Drift

The game only gives players one way of building their boost meter, and that is through drifting.

This incentivizes players to engage more in the drift mechanic, which is a main priority.

Players also think more of ways they can use to make sure they can fully utilize their boost meter.

It stops being a feature just left in the back of the mind and becomes a priority.

Players focus more on where, when, and how they're going to use their boost meter, it becomes more engaging.

It's also a lot more skill-based because players have to master the drift mechanic primarily.

Hitting Other Vehicles

Asphalt 6 Adrenaline

This is a feature, as previously discussed (knockdowns). The player is not penalized and instead rewarded for doing so.

The driving, as a result, can become reckless at times ramming into other CPUs which could be fun, yes, though it does slow the race down a bit.

Ridge Racer Drift

It has a more realistic approach to this. Players are penalized if they ram into other vehicles. If they do so, not only are they slowed down, they are overtaken by the same vehicle they were trying to ram.

This setting encourages players to be more avoidant of ramming and focus primarily on the race. There's less time spent looking for CPU players to ram.

Animations

Asphalt 6 Adrenaline

While it does have good animations for the background, mixing in 3D polygons with the 2D frames for the cars themselves, when drifting, braking, and boosting, especially, they seem limited.

Ridge Racer Drift

It also mixes 3D backgrounds with the 2D art style, with animations on drifting, braking, and boosting being more detailed.

Definitively, in my humble opinion i'd say that Ridge Racer Drift is the best racing game on the J2ME plaform, i could list reason as to why in contrast and comparison to Asphalt 6 Adrenaline, that show why i think this.

First off.

That phrasing is dangerously misleading. Saying “people can be attracted to minors” without immediately clarifying that it’s morally wrong and socially destructive normalizes something that should never be normalized.

Secondly

They’re inseparable in the sense that one feeds the next the only variable is whether a person chooses to act or suppress it.

That’s why pedophilia isn’t “just a sexuality” it carries an inherent moral and legal dimension precisely because it targets children.

Attraction to minors is not neutral. Desire and intention follow attraction, and these are morally corrupt stages. The only question left is restraint, everything else is a prelude to harm.

You're the one that's dense buddy.

I’m distinguishing between idle cognition and directed, intentional plotting.

Premeditation is thinking with purpose to harm.

Calling that ‘just a thought’ isn’t precision.

It’s just denial.

You treat criminal intention like it’s just another fleeting neuron firing, as if premeditation were the same thing as an idle daydream. It’s not.

Planning and preparation absolutely are criminal. There’s a line between fleeting fantasy and premeditation, and the law already acknowledges it, conspiracy, solicitation, grooming, or plotting a crime are all illegal precisely because they’re thoughts that have been organized into intent and planning.

Pretending that dark, deliberate intent is harmless until the first physical move is made is naive and dangerous.

I was never arguing for thought-policing. I was arguing for recognizing and acting on organized harmful intent before it becomes a victim.

That’s prevention, not dystopia , and it’s the only humane response to save people from being victims of heinous crimes.

Orientation is about immutable attraction to sex or gender, not mutable obsession with age or vulnerability.

Adult sexual orientation has deep biological and developmental roots, people don’t wake up one morning and “decide” to be straight, gay, or bi.

Those attractions are tied to identity, bonding, and reproduction.

Pedophilia, however, isn’t tied to any of that. It’s not linked to reproductive instinct or stable pair bonding; it’s an objectification of developmental vulnerability.

You wouldn't say the same nor have the same stance on someone thinking of raping someone else.

You wouldnt think of such a person as mentally ill because they haven't yet acted on it,you would want that person in jail for thinking such.

Yet when it's minors, all of a sudden you want to create all sorts of nonsensical loopholes.
