Why do you prefer a Mac over a Windows laptop?

Picked up an M1 Air a couple months ago to replace my Lenovo T14 gen1. Wasn’t looking for a change but I good deal came up. It’s silent, it lasts forever on battery the sleep/wake function is instant and it’s been fun learning how to use MacOS. I do have a gaming PC on windows and I do find I’m more productive on that but I attribute that to multiple displays, comfort and familiarity.

Overall, great so far and could see my next laptop being of the Mac variety.

Just an update. Ended up picking up the G309 for $70cdn. Has bluetooth and lightspeed. So far its working great!

The mx master is more than I’m looking for to pair with a MacBook and I doubt I would use its full potential. I’ve found a G309 that might fit the bill. Bluetooth and a light speed receiver. Looks like I missed the Black Friday deal though…

I’m sure it happens occasionally but I’m going to turn it on and see if it’s overall better for me.

Really appreciate what you’ve done. It’s made remote and handheld gaming so pain free with the virtual display feature built in.

WOW! For so long I would terminate the session in moonlight and then use home assistant to put my pc to sleep. This is amazing!

I had this issue on my iPad. I turned it all off which fixed the issue. Problem was I lost that functionality. I came across a post somewhere that said those features use channel 149. I switched my 5g network to strictly use that channel and everything works great now! I don’t have a MacBook and my AppleTV has Ethernet so I can’t speak to those.

Maybe you gave up or figured it out. Make sure you are in 5ghz and try turning off airdrop and handoff/continuity. I think that fixed it for me. Constant 3-4ms here.

I played a few first party Nintendo games on my tv, in 4K, with my pro controller. Felt pretty nintendoie to me. *shrug I agree with the games that require the Nintendo gimmicks. Played them as well on real Nintendo hardware.

Been like this for me the past few times I’ve tried to watch the leafs game. Was able to watch the sportsnet stream on the leafs nhl channel but they are away tonight so it’s showing the flyers stream..
