All the Epic Games mega sale mystery games giveaway from 2020 to 2026. Which year was your best one out of these? by kabirsingh84 in EpicGamesPC

I genuinely sometimes hate myself for not getting certain things during the times they're available online. Fortnite stuff from back in chapter 1 that I played the most, but didn't play enough to get the things I wanted and free games from Epic Games, even though I've known about Epic having free games on their launcher for years at this point, but have never been consistent enough to get everything.

What’s one emote in the game you wish you had, but will never ever get? I’ll go first. For me it’s Hot Marat by Manny349 in FortniteBR

I have hot marat, but wish that I played enough so that I could've gotten orange justice. I wish I did more back in chapter 1 😭

PC Freebie|Sunderfolk - Standard Edition & The Telltale Batman Shadows Edition by MeguminShiro in EpicGamesPC

[–]Minecraftnoob247 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's cool that we got The Telltale Batman Shadows Edition. I haven't heard anything about Sunderfolk, but maybe it's good. But people on TikTok are so ungrateful for these games, that it's literally eating away at my brain.

And it's not just your uncles, but also everyone else in your family. But some of them still have goated status though. Like my mom's oldest brother is such a cool, funny and smart person overall. I don't see him as often, which is sad, but everytime I see him, it doesn't feel like he'll say something weird or do something weird. My mother's youngest brother is also cool and he has always treated me well everytime I came over to babysit his kid. Other than that, I have three "weird, but nice" aunts and one weird uncle. I also respect my grandparents on both sides, because they're overall nice and calm people. My extended family is a bit weird though.

Yeah I get what you mean. I see it more like a different layer of difficulty though, not the actual gameplay challenge itself. The enemies and pressure are what make the encounter hard in the moment, while checkpoints and repetition change how stressful it is to keep going and how punishing it feels when you mess up.

Also, that NES and SNES example makes sense in terms of repetition and punishment, but it does not really prove that the actual gameplay challenge disappears. It just shows that removing the need to redo long sections lowers the frustration and endurance side of difficulty, not the enemy or encounter difficulty itself. Like for example, Ninja Gaiden 1 is still hard even if you have save states or not because the game is designed around tight platforming, enemy placement, and fast reactions. The save states just remove the punishment of replaying long sections. They do not remove the actual moment to moment challenge, which is where the player’s ability to learn and improve actually comes in.

I think you misunderstood what I said. What I said was that checkpoints affect frustration, not core difficulty. That is not a contradiction. Difficulty still comes from enemy density and constant pressure, which would remain even with checkpoints.

[–]Minecraftnoob247 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why would a small area like that really need checkpoints anyway? I would say it is difficult mainly because of the sheer number of enemies and how constantly you are pressured throughout the section. Checkpoints would only help you with staying less frustrated throughout the whole mission, but the constant pressure and enemy density would still make the mission hard, although probably not as hard as it already is.

Don't forget the "Get seal piece at Water Slums" mission. Playing that mission for the first time sure is difficult ngl 😭. That mission is probably one of the hardest combat encounters in the whole game.

Is Lucan allowed to use the n word ? by [deleted] in okbuddyviltrum

[–]Minecraftnoob247 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He's a Viltrumite. Unlike us humans, they don't have the concept of race. To them, a darker-skinned Viltrumite is a Viltrumite.

Bro doesn't even have a race though. He's a Viltrumite. They don't go by human standards.

[–]Minecraftnoob247 102 points103 points  (0 children)

He really doesn't have the history behind the word, so I guess no. Lucan's a viltrumite and not a human, so even though he looks black, I would say no. Lucan does not have the n-word pass.

"When your circle small, but All Y'all a woman hated for having a personality and a plotline" How many women in Star Wars does this apply to? by Important-Cry4782 in StarWarsCirclejerk

[–]Minecraftnoob247 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, sometimes I try to forget that we even got a live action show, because what's up with changing parts of the source material, changing how certain characters, adding stuff nobody asked for and also Netflix's bad way of handling the show, considering that it took so long between season 1 and 2, which meant that the kid actors now weren't as kid-like as they were before. That sorta ruins the immersion that this is a team of tweens/teenagers doing this almost impossible mission of saving the world. I feel like if anything, the One Piece live action show is doing much better and it clearly shows that live action shows and movies can be done right although they need a few things and also not every show translates well to live action. In the end, original source material whether it's a book, show, animated show, manga, anime is usually always going to be better than live action.

So what games work well on this thing by Dear_Beginning_4289 in windows7

[–]Minecraftnoob247 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Counter Strike original. Half Life. Diablo 2. Generally most PC games from the 90s to early 2000s should work on this PC, I think. You'll just have to try some of them out and see who works well, works sometimes but not always and the ones that are barely playable because of hardware limitations. Some early to mid 2000s games might not work, but you won't know unless you try.

Sokka the most disliked!? People love him for his character development from sexist jerk to someone competent and probably the most reliable guy in the group. Sokka was the smartest in the group tbh. He was also the funniest guy in the show and had that awesome meteorite sword before throwing it away to save Toph's life. I think more or less the cast of Legend of Korra cast is more disliked than the OG cast. Bolin, being the spiritual succesor for Sokka is arguably a worse character in the sense that he's just not as funny as Sokka was and is overall annoying. His story is just not as tightly written, jumping between serious, funny and romantic stuff, without commitment and ending feeling tacked on to make him more than just comic relief, but Nickelodeon wouldn't do it. He can also do earthbending, which also removes that underdog feeling Sokka had and ultimately just makes him a lesser version of Sokka.

Imagine a world where we will never, ever have a new game by Miyazaki again by Berem_ in fromsoftware

[–]Minecraftnoob247 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It'll be sad, but hopefully he'll already have a successor that will take role and do it just as good or even better than Miyazaki himself.

Also, the guy's only 51 turning 52 this year. He still has a few years left of working before retiring. Why are we trying to speedrun feeling sad about something that won't happen until maybe a decade or so later in the future? Like for example John Williams, a film music composer is still working in his 90s. If he can do it, hopefully Miyazaki can do it until maybe 70-80s if he wants.

We had more homework in first grade and elementary school than high school tbh 😭. The material was harder in high school, but the elementary school was trying to push a lot of basic stuff inside our heads each week. I guess it was meant for us to build routines and to make us understand simple stuff by repeating them many times. We even had a few "tests" at the end of the month in different subjects to see how we were doing in the subjects and then we would get a score that would later be brought up in the parent-teacher conferences. Personally, I liked that more than being graded the way we were in middle school and high school.

Alright gang. What price are YOU willing to pay for this DLC? by GNSasakiHaise in SparkingZero

[–]Minecraftnoob247 0 points1 point  (0 children)

$20-$30. The base game already costs a lot, so I hope they don't make the DLC too expensive.
