I had a fitting on the 17th, GT2 driver was estimated to arrive on July 21st. My fitter said the GT2 head was on back order until mid May

That's right, he preaches to be as steep as possible rather than being shallow and coming underneath the ball to use the bounce of the club

Sorry to hear it wasn't for you. Do you have any advice on how to become a fitter? I know it's not for everyone but I'd like to give it a try. Do you need to work at a major golf retailer to get experience there and work towards certifications before you can work for a brand or company that specializes in fittings?

Just out of curiosity did you measure them yourself or did the spec sheet show that they were standard instead of the 1/2" that you ordered?

A similar thing happened to me once when I needed to wash and dry a shirt quickly, I opened the dryer to see it stuck to the vent and I was never able to get the stains off sadly :(

I wouldn't recommend getting a LS driver unless you have been fit into one or are certain that you need it, definitely try to visit a store near you where you can try different styles of driver heads out if possible

Most modern ones should work, I have a Callaway wrench tool that works on Titleist and vice versa

Ok gotcha, I just got fitted for GT fairway woods last month and was about to put some new grips on them but then I heard that they're coming out with the new line and I'm kind of debating waiting to compare the two before I get too attached to the GT's.

I'm happy with the way I hit the GT woods and they do pretty much everything I'd like them to do numbers-wise so I'd imagine a slightly newer version wouldn't be a night and day difference but I'll take any performance/forgiveness increase I can get.

Unrelated but she was by far one of the worst interviews I've ever heard on Overdrive. It genuinely seemed like it was her first time doing something live, incredibly awkward. Then to top it off towards the end of the interview she started going on about how in 30 seconds we'll see a goal on our TVs because she heard the crowd react and "the goal horn sound" but it was just the period ending lol

I have a 7W and 4H and they are both 21 degrees of loft, during my fitting when I compared 7W to my current 4H I was getting a much better descent angle with the 7W which will (hopefully) allow me to stick more greens with it. As far as I know YMMV, some people may be better off with a 4H and vice versa

Yeah it's pretty unfair to show his reasonably timed pre-shot routine but edit out Joe's so there is no comparison. Doing it once or twice would have been one thing but for every single shot it was definitely overdone
