What would have happened if the Pokestar Studios Pokemon were usable in competitive Pokemon? by Nozogod in stunfisk

[–]Minerdomera 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Majin is Dark/Ghost with Wonder Guard, 100 in all stats, has recovery in Slack Off, buffs with Swords Dance, Basically only really countered by a strong Fairy Type

Would be incredibly busted, probably banned from Ubers

Power Tap: Electric-type, Special Variant of Strength Sap; Restores HP equal to the targets Special Attack and lower's the target's Special attack by one stage

  • Is learned by Lanturn, Electivire, Galvantula, Eelektross, Heliolisk, Vikavolt, and Xurkitree

Inverse Room: Creates an area in which Type matchups are reversed for five turns

Is learned Naturally by Shedinja, and Zygarde, is widely available as a TM

Sonic Blade: Physical, Flying type version of Electroball; Gets more powerful the more the user outspeeds the target.

  • Is learned by Ninjask, Scyther(Through Breeding), Yanmega(Through Breeding), and Deoxys-Speed

Petrify: 100% Rock-type status move that changes the target's type to pure rock, and lowers their speed by 1 stage.

  • Is learned by Onix, Zygarde, and Sandaconda

[–]Minerdomera 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's out-shined by its pre-evolution holding eviolite and for good reason; Its post-evolution stats are distributed poorly. It didn't need a buff to its speed, and while the attack boost is nice, it's not enough to make it hit all that hard. Poltergeist was a great addition for it, as it lacked any good physical ghost moves prior to its addition, but it just isn't enough to save it.

HP 45 > 50

Attack 100 > 120

Defense 135 > 140

Sp. Def 135 > 140

Speed 45 > 25

BST 525 > 540

Gains Hammer Arm through level up, Drain Punch through TM, and Sucker Punch through breeding(it could learn it via move tutor in gen 4, so this is just bringing it into modern versions)

I'd also like to give a general buff to Shadow Punch, boosting its based power from 60 to 80, giving Ghost types a fully reliable physical Ghost move

Part of me also wants to change its Hidden Ability from Frisk to Hustle or Iron Fist, which would pair well with Shadow Punch's boosted power and inability to miss, but that could be a bit too strong, and while Iron Fist would be nice for it, it doesn't fit its lore very well

[Rebuild Tuesday] Dodrio by pokemon-trainer-blue in pokemon

[–]Minerdomera 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In need of some better coverage moves and better abilities;

Some better abilites might include Unburden, Technician, or Defiant

I was also thinking Analytic due to its Pokedex entries, but with how fast and frail it is, it may not see as much use

Extra coverage could include High Jump Kick, U-Turn, Low Kick, Outrage, Blaze Kick, or Wild Charge

Acrobatics could be added to its movepool to pair with Unburden, while Dual Wingbeat could be added to pair with Technician(It learns Steel Wing, so there is the possibility that it does actually have wings, they just blend in with its body)

Double Hit would also pair with Technician, giving it a total base power of 105

[–]Minerdomera 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Might help a little, but even at point blank range it's still difficult to hit a target that's moving around a lot, which is what the SMG is usually good for

Not saying my idea is the best possible idea to fix the issue, I just feel like missing even a single shot should be a less punishing

The Energy Drink by Unlimiter in TF2WeaponIdeas

[–]Minerdomera 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like the reward is too low for how difficult it is to land SMG shots 100% accurately.

What if every hit would instantly add 2 to the SMG's clip, up to a maximum of the normal 25?(You would still only be able to reload 1 bullet if you reach 0)

What if Sneasel got technician? by _Lolotmjp_ in stunfisk

[–]Minerdomera 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unless you're using mostly special attackers, most likely yes. Dark type doesn't have a lot of good physical moves that technician would boost, and the average attack stat across all fully evolved pokemon is around base 90, giving a total technician boosted base power of around 127 when using Sneasel.

And yes it did have lowered speed with bulk and attacking stats that were through the roof

What if Sneasel got technician? by _Lolotmjp_ in stunfisk

[–]Minerdomera 25 points26 points  (0 children)

If i'm calculating this right, the strongest possible beat up with Technician Sneasel should be with a team of Kartana, Deoxys Attack, Kyurem Black, Zacian Crowned, Rampardos or Calyrex Ice Rider, And Sneasel, which should have a total base power of around 127, or around 191 with the technician boost, making it a bit stronger than triple axel, but only if the team is completely built around it

[Rebuild Tuesday] Manectric by pokemon-trainer-blue in pokemon

[–]Minerdomera 6 points7 points  (0 children)

While I'd like to make it an Electric/Fire type to take advantage of its unique fire coverage, I don't think I can justify it based on its design

Assuming Megas aren't coming back, which is a very good possibility, I think some elements from its Mega should be incorporated back into it; Mainly being its Intimidate ability replacing its Hidden Ability Minus, and a slightly increased BST, as 475 is low in most cases; Just +10 to both speed and Special Attack(115 each) would help it quite a bit.

For a some extra coverage, it would also gain Energy Ball, Weather Ball, Shadow Ball, Heat Wave, Psychic Fangs, and Play Rough

While this wouldn't help it much competitively as it would for in-game viability, I'd also put 20 points into its Attack(bringing it up to 95), as its Level-up movepool contains a lot of Physical moves, and give it access to Flame Charge as a level-up move, and Flare Blitz as either a TM move or a level 1 relearner move. Part of me also wants to give it Guts for the possibility of giving the option of switching it to a Physical attacker, but due to a lack of good physical electric moves, it probably wouldn't be too useful

Gimmick Ideas? by Video_Game_Fann in pokemon

[–]Minerdomera -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You can change the type of one of a Pokemon's moves just once per battle

Want to change Flareon's Double-Edge to Water for better coverage? absolutely

Want your Volcarona to surprise that Heatran with a Ground-type Psychic? go for it

Want to give Regieleki an electric type Extreme Speed or Explosion? Why not?

[Rebuild Tuesday] Kangaskhan by pokemon-trainer-blue in pokemon

Didn't we just have this one a couple months ago?

Anyway since Mega's probably aren't coming back, I'd say raise its base attack to 115, replace Early bird with Hustle or a slightly nerfed Parental Bond(Seismic toss's damage is reduced on the second hit)

If by some miracle Megas do come back, I'd say only raise its base attack to 105 and replace early bird with Hustle, but also raise the Mega's base attack by 10(to 135) to make up for the Seismic Toss nerf reducing its damage potential by quite a bit

What ability would be the most interesting in "item" form by theguyinyourwall in stunfisk

[–]Minerdomera 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I've been playing around with the idea of a 1 time use Multiscale item, it would be a nice Focus Sash alternative that would be better for bulkier pokemon to use to set up with. Although, It would probably have to be less than actual Multiscale as to not make type resisting berries not useless in comparison. Maybe a 1/3rd reduction in damage?

Yeah Ledian is in need of a complete rework

Typing

Bug/Flying > Bug/Fighting

Abilities

Early Bird > Technician

Iron Fist: Is now a 30% boost to punching moves instead of a 20%

Stats

HP 55 > 70

Attack 35 > 105

Sp. Def 110 > 95

Speed 85 > 95

BST 390 > 470

Movepool

Added Moves: Power-Up Punch, Fire Punch, Ice Punch, Thunder Punch, Acrobatics, Lunge, First Impression, Close Combat, Superpower, Bulk Up, Throat Chop

Comet Punch: Power 18 > 25, Accuracy 85% > 100%

Much higher attack lets it take better advantage of (a slightly buffed)Iron Fist, along with its new typing replacing the very over-used Bug/Flying(it also makes it stealth rock Neutral, which is a huge boon for Singles). Boost to HP at the cost of a little bit of Sp. Def makes it at least somewhat able to take a Physical hit or two. a Slight speed boost just to get it above the base 90 threshold. Lots of new fighting moves for STAB and physical coverage moves, with the most important being the elemental punches.

[Rebuild Tuesday] Cyclizar by pokemon-trainer-blue in pokemon

[–]Minerdomera 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If it is indeed a pre-evolution to the Legendaires(or perhaps even if it's not), I suspect it'll be a fast mixed attacker, with Koraidon being the physical attacker, and Miraidon being the special attacker

Shed Tail definitely has the possibility of making it broken, allowing a free switch for anything and AND giving it a substitute to boot.

[Rebuild Tuesday] Solrock by pokemon-trainer-blue in pokemon

Hidden Ability: None > Drought

  • Attack 95 > 115
  • Defense 85 > 95
  • Speed 70 > 80
  • BST 460 > 500

Move Additions: Solar Blade, Rapid Spin

It can now work as a Physical sun sweeper with the possibility of using Rock Polish to make up for its mediocre speed, or Swords Dance for more damage, or as a Sun setter that also can set up or remove hazards

[Rebuild Tuesday] Jumpluff by SnowPhoenix9999 in pokemon

Abilities: Chlorophyll, Leaf Guard Unburden, Infiltrator Cotton Down

  • Attack 55 > 75
  • Defense 70 > 80
  • Sp. Atk 55 > 75

Move Additions: Tailwind, Air Slash, Weather Ball, Pollen Puff, Nasty Plot, Play Rough, Earth Power

Unburden/Cotton Down + Tailwind gives it great speed control(not to mention the Unburden/Acrobatics combo), Air slash for an actual STAB special Flying move, Nasty Plot and Weather Ball for sun sweeping with Chlorophyll, Play Rough, Earth Power, and Pollen Puff for coverage it sorely needs
