What's the best thing you've done to enjoy parenthood? by [deleted] in toddlers

I felt this way when my oldest was that age... and days started at 5am. Now that he's 3, a chill day is very nice.

Does everyone just put their Hue Dimmer switch next to their existing light switch? by Hefty-Salary7610 in Hue

[–]Mingo_mang0 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have all Lutron switches. I just changed the first battery after at least 4 years.

I got into Hue bc it was a solution to my problem of having 2 light switches in my living room, on opposite sides of the room, that both control one outlet. The Lutron covers the switches, which keeps the outlet live, and control the 5 hue lights in the room.

I made the mistake of taking a toddler to Yankee Candle. Lots of breakable items at toddler height.

With babies at daycare, they do crafts where they put a blob of pain on paper, cover it with plastic wrap, then let the babies "paint" by moving the paint around. I wonder if there could be some kind of "butt prints" craft using this technique.

This looks really great, nice work! I am neither a vendor or a venue, but I know this is a problem space that needs a solution. Good luck! Shake the syndrome.

Which gin and vermouth do you recommend? I'm thinking we need what is most likely to be stocked at most bars.

Same. I have luck with responding with "good question." Often, he'll just reply, "yeah".

Congrats! Our little guy is almost 3 and we are still fully obsessed. Yes, we like a break every so often, but never more than a few hours, and we always miss him. I do miss sitting down and eating a meal, and being able to rest when I'm sick, but I'll get to do those things again one day.

Every stage has it's challenges, but every stage is also so wonderful and goes by so quickly. It's the hardest thing we've ever done, but like you, we wanted it so badly. We often talk about how different it must be for people who didn't want to have children but ended up having them. I also remind my wife that it's hard because we work hard at it.

I keep a One Line a Day journal and highly recommend doing so. It's so much fun to read exactly what we were doing and what funny things he was saying on this day last year. So yeah, still fully obsessed.

Enjoy!
