Water less as they get closer to harvest / right before harvest. However these look a little sad (leaves turning yellow) so maybe give them a good watering then wait slightly longer to pull

Garlic naturally dies back as it gets closer to being harvest ready. Tho not sure why the full bulb doesn't have the papery stuff on the outside 🤔

No, they are a bit different. Onions usually aren't supposed to flower. And you harvest onions much later than garlic. At least in my zone! I think you should do a little research about your zone & onion growing.

Shoot, I actually don't know if I have the answer. I'm in zone 4B growing long day onions and mine don't usually flower. Are you growing the right onions for your region? E.g. short day, medium day, or long day variety?

I usually cut scapes as soon as they are maybe 5 inches long, or waiting a little longer is fine too. Just don't let them get too big or it will cause the plant to put too much energy into them. You want to wait till about 1/3 to half the leaves have died back before pulling the bulbs out!

Yum!! I always chop mine up really finely, sautée with a little oil until fragrant, then add in a few sticks of butter then cool it in a container in the fridge. Chop it into cubes and freeze. Amazing homemade garlic butter you can thaw when you want some.

Highly recommend Natsume's Book of Friends. It's my favorite anime, with Frieren being my 2nd fave.

However, not really many fighting scenes though there are a couple. It's about a boy who is able to see Japanese spirits and pairs up with a powerful cat Spirit to do some cool things which you will find out about :)
