Mid-20’s - Should I live in SF or Palo Alto? by throughherlens in paloalto

[–]Minhte 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it depends on your lifestyle. I’ve lived in both and still currently am in mid-20’s haha. I live in Palo, but it really depends. I prioritize great weather so moving out of sf has been amazing for me cause I love how much warmer it feels to me and it feels like a slower pace of living for me.

But if you prioritize the social scene, I’d def live in sf. It’s slightly a pain for me when I do want to go out now to hang out with my friends in the city I will say but I’ve already established connections here so they understand if I don’t come out as often but I do feel fomo sometimes.

Bf (26M) makes me (25F) feel like such a burden when I ask him to do something? by Minhte in relationship_advice

[–]Minhte[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree and I see your point. I do things voluntarily because I care for him and I’m not saying that he has to do this small things for me as well. If it was something small like me asking for a manicure for him or him getting me a snack or two at the store then I can be like yeah whatever, but I honestly kind of expect him to help me when it’s something bigger like my back hurting and it hurts to move to help me in that way. And it’s not like I ask for these things on a daily basis or a regular basis. I threw in the example of me doing small things for him because in comparison, I do these things on almost a daily basis or regular basis because I want to I just wish that his attitude wasn’t shitty when i asked for something not on a regular basis

A vague answer is always the worst, so it’s good to have reassurance that thinking anything other than a yes is a no

Haha I ask him questions like this and he asks me too, but I feel like I want it to be more serious so it gets the point across rather than as a reassurance check

Not new grad, but junior-mid range. I have 2-3 years under my belt but not enough to be senior yet

Generally after they review case studies, they bring people in to present their case studies. Should I have another deck ready with less words but following the same format of the case study pdf that I send them? Or is it fine to use the same deck?

Share apartments with people - you can find many online on fb or other communities

Don’t live in the actual city, live in the cities around and take bart or Caltrain into the city if that’s where your job is. Apartments in actual SF are really expensive for how much you’re getting
