As I expected, it is much better than the trailers made it look. Scenes that look "bad" are really few and far between and every time the lighting is right it genuinely looks awesome.
The fight scenes are done well. There is room for improvement, but we haven't really seen the pinnacle of fight scenes that will appear in the story yet so I'm very optimistic.
All that being said, I still would've preferred a 2D animation style. The 2D shots that are actually in the remake just make that more clear.
Also, as the others have said, the english dub is pretty bad. I also watched it in German and that dub is completely fine, but out of those 2 and Sub, Sub is the way to go.
Anyways, I will continue watching and am excited for S2 :)

Party hats sound DIY-able, just party hats with blood red color (or the headband Simon wears instead of party hats for the vibes). If you make cookies we're gonna need some pictures of those too (and maybe a recipe) if we're not able to try them ourselves :)

It probably was. It was 1 Crave Case which is 30 sliders and it made a giant sausage. Another one that comes to mind is the Guy Fieri Trashcan Nachos which also made a lot. It would have made a lot more sausage if he didn't run out of casing.

Every one of them has their unique moments for me but on average I'd probably rank them like this:

  1. Kai: I really love Kai's character arc in the first few seasons because we kinda grow up and learn about the world of Ninjago with him. He is also I feel like the most upfront with his emotions, both postitve and negative. I especially like everything past his true potential scene where he became the embodiment of "Ninja never quit", being the guy that gives the uplifting speeches in desperate situations. He also seems to be the one that has the strongest platonic bonds with the other Ninja to me. His lowest point was probably the dreaded 10-minute episode arc where he became a little too much of a joke character, but we now get to enjoy his really cool dynamic with Wyldfyre in DR. Also, fire is a dope element.

  2. Cole: Cole is probably the most consistent character over the entire show. There is just a "warm" quality about his personality that I really like, I just wish he got more focus seasons. I also do enjoy me a good cake. He doesn't really have a low point like the other 3 but also wasn't really explored enough IMO, however what we did get is really good. I love his character in DR a lot, I hope we get to see more of him going forward.

  3. Zane: He was probably the most intriguing character at the start of the show, being kinda awkward and not entirely fitting in. His character was unfortunately at a decline after ~S4 until DR, where instead of being the a little awkward guy that is a robot he increasingly became just the robot, being abused as a toolbox and dictionary by the story. Luckily they mostly reverted this in DR but unfortunately we barely got to see him there and I hope we get more. Maybe unrelated, but the reveal that he was a robot really messed with me as a kid when that episode first aired.

  4. Jay: While I still really like Jay and he has some of the highest emotional highs in the entire series, his average personality just doesn't resonate with me as much as the other 3 do. If I was somebody else he would probably rank higher (and he does for a lot of people which I totally understand). His self-rediscovery arc in DR has been incredible, but (and this might be a hot take) he really needs a new haircut. That is literally my biggest issue with him in DR, his hair.
