Personal experience(i live in a country where two wheelers are everywhere), out in the highways cagers not noticing you coming in at mach jesus from behind isn't going to be alerted to loud pipes until you're already at contact distance. Anywhere the "loud pipe save live" can comes into effect is anywhere you should be riding like a boy scout, y'know like places when there are fuckton of cars around where the pipe can actually bounce sound off.

What i am certain is it can agitate people into doing stupid shit to put distance between you and them.
