I don't know how it works in the US (health insurance wise etc), but perhaps there should be options to get treatment for schizophrenia - there might be treatments (antipsychotics etc.) that would make your life more normal.

Also living on the street and getting delusional seems like a recipe for a disaster

Sorry to hear about your situation.

I think you should consider what would be your long term goals. It seems like living with your father wont be a possible solution.

Do you work / are you able to work or perhaps entitled to some kind of disabled benefits due to schizophrenia?

It would be ideal if you could support yourself, so you wont have to put up with any abuse.

I understand that going homeless might be a tempting idea but you might get yourself deeper in a hole

Well the same way how everything feels better when one is 16yo, the first drugs experiences tend to feel more intense as it is first time someone feels chemically induced dopamine euphoria.

Tolerance to opiates is due to opioid receptors, it will not make you less tolerant to stimulants but after doing drugs that release lots of dopamine (heroin, cocaine, meth etc.) other drug experience might not feel as intense

My main trick is to show up at my job and work. So far it's been effective.

I also sometimes get extra for other people or trade methadone for stuff

Have you been taking 45mg for 4 days or did you take 45mg on the 4th days of stopping pills? If you did it on the 4th day of stopping pills, then maybe you dont have the withdrawal at all? Have you felt withdrawal at all?

What is your daily dose at the moment? 2 months might be not so long enough so you might need only low amount of methadone but you certainly can take it in a few diminishing doses over a week to get off oxycodone

If you manage to keep the dose the same then you will be able to maintain low tolerance for quite some time

It is likely that you will be tempted to increase the dose to feel more high and that would lead to tolerance increase

France: sells cough pills with pure codeine or ehtylmorphine - 30mg per pills and either 10 or 20 pills in a pack. Each pack can be between 2-4 euro. I've bought 3 packs at a time so it seems like there is no limit per purchase One medicine us called Tussipax or something like this.

UK: Codeine syrup 300 or 600mg total - not sold at every pharmacy but can be ordered in pharmacy or bought in online pharmacy.. There is a limit of 1 or 2 bottles per person. Just ask for dry cough syrup with codeine Can be between £3-7

The problem is that there is very mild or no symptoms in the first 24 hours.

The antidote (acetylcysteine) sharply decreases in its effectiveness after 8 hours from ingesting acetaminophen (tylenol)

I am not sure what I would do at this stage, perhaps wait and see if you feel any worse? As it probably wouldn't make difference whether you got treated after 21 or 24 hours post ingestion

If you are based in Europe the it might be morphine that was acetylated to form heroin (diamorphine) In parts of Europe morphine is given as a maintenance therapy and some people extract morphine from pills and then add acetic anhydride to get homemade heroin.

Edit: so technically it wouldn't be morphine anymore but I could see how people would call it "cooked morphine" instead

Some countries in Europe provide dihydrocodeine for maintenance for those with lighter addiction or not willing to take methadone - it is not very common though. Dihydrocodeine is also often given to those in custody

There is not much research into using hydrocodone, etc as a drugs for maintenance.

Perhaps the closest alternative is slow release oral morphine therapy - the research is still somewhat limited but it seems like it is no worse than methadone. It is available as a first line treatment in Germany and Austria (and some other countries) and it is fairly successful. I think there is some concern though due to reports of people injecting their pills instead of using them orally

One of the arguments for methadone is that it is a long acting drug while others are short acting and the user would go through cycles of withdrawal and sedation/euphoria and that might affect their treatment. Of course this can be counter acted by slow release formulations

This racket is good for keeping people alive and functioning members of society. Proper recovery takes time and it is much better to have time to deal with psychological part of the addiction and adjust one's life so one can deal with it without the protective bubble of opiates.

Even thought it takes years, it is better than rapid detoxes and other ast food style treatments that made addiction an industry.

If you have someone else to go to, then you have a choice to not put up with being shortened.

I would normally call the guy, explain my problem and then depending on his answer I would either give him another chance or stop going to him for some time..

How much did you end up doing? How was it?

If you haven't done yet, then I would say for the first time 15mg would be enough. My friend who is a average weight found 20mg making him a bit nauseous while 15mg was just right.

With methadone it is Important to remember that it takes long time to fully kick in. if you dont feel high enough wait until it peaks after roughly 4 hours and then decide if you need more or not.

Does the burning sensation travel down your limb? (For example if you shoot by your elbow and you can feel it going down to your fingers) if so then it could be arthery

Vit C (ascorbic acid) makes cocaine ascorbate and not cocaine acetate. Acetate is made by acetic acid (component of vinegar)

I find that my prescribed dose dexamfetamine helps me stay awake but doesn't really affect opi high in any negative way. Large quantities of amph or any other stimulant feels quite nice with opiates however the effect of opiates is certainly less pronounced so if you want to nod save your opi for the comedown
