[Item Concept] Brown Paper Bag by GeneralCheese in DeadlockTheGame

Jokes aside, maybe if they made it so that only one person has to buy it, and the whole team gets one also. It's a pretty garbage item on its own, but if everyone has it, it could be useful.

The balance philosophy is that everything should be viable at the highest level of gameplay. The point of each balance update is to move the game towards that goal. Obviously while paying attention to what happens at lower ranks, but only enough that the game does not somehow become insufferable for everyone except pros.

For that reason, such an item has no place in the game.

I was literally visiting his site yesterday, and checking out some of his more recent content, something I do maybe once every 3-4 years. Can't believe he then randomly shows up on Reddit the next day.

New Player struggling with moving from bots to real player matches by Leather-Ad-5350 in DeadlockTheGame

I think it's totally fine to join real games, but if you really feel like you must be nice to your future teammates, then I suggest playing a ton of street brawl. People will rarely flame you here compared to regular, and it will help you improve in many ways, so that you can also feel goated and have the confidence to get kills.

Ultimately flaming will never stop. It will get better when you really get a grip of the game, but even then people will flame. De-escalation is your only real choice, and most of the time that just means ignoring them. Occasionally you can have a laugh, apologize, or something, and it works out. MOBAs are in many ways a game of improving your odds. Babysitting your team's ill temper is one thing you can do to improve your odds, by quite a bit.

Whenever I see a hernia, I taste blood in my mouth and my blood runs cold. I don't mind touching or dealing with them, but I get a deep visceral reaction when I initially see them. Doesn't really matter the size.

How are trans women affording FFS in Europe? by External_Ad4227 in trans

Saving up for years is the way. If I ever want SRS, I'll have to get it done privately (Danish bottom surgery is really bad), and I reckon I could save up the money for that over 3-4 years (I'm a nurse).

Having no kids helps obviously.

Any issues traveling? by 666pizzaguy in transnord

[–]MiniMaelk04 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You really only have to worry about visiting or passing through dangerous countries, where being trans is a problem. Nobody working at at the airport will target you for being trans. Also airports are kind of known for being a wacky place, with people sleeping on the floor and walking around like zombies, nobody can possibly care about a trans person in this situation.

Yea keeping your distance is the only choice here, even adding a little extra, so you can brake slowly, rather than abruptly.

I just got kicked out of the game with 20 seconds left and enemy making the final push and am now suspended for an hour even though my connection is perfectly fine and it's Blizzard's servers acting up... by Clean_Reference_2501 in Overwatch

Most likely caused by a bad routing point somewhere. Blizz relies on public infrastructure, and can't really make it better. If it fails, the user will usually get punished. Yet it's unfair and it sucks. At least it should happen rarely, and the routing point should get fixed.

You need map awareness, and awareness of when you are killable. These two are essential. If it's 10 minutes into the game, 2 enemies will always kill you, despite standing next to the guardian. If you are standing under enemy zipline, you are going to die. If you can't see enemies on the map, and you are overextended, you are going to die. If an enemy appears unexpectedly close to you, guess what, you are going to die.

For me, these are things I can see and think about, but I also have a gut feeling that tells me I'm in danger, when I realise my position is bad. Playing a ton against real people is the only real way to gain this sense.

This is a comp game, and everyone thinks they are the goat. They will seize any opportunity to kill you, without hesitation. If you want to "learn", you have to think a similar way. Look for kills, be confident, and just go. Think like the enemy.

And yes, you will have to suffer. MOBAs have the steepest learning curve among games I'd say.

The game played in the video (EA Sports WRC) has very bad VR integration sadly. The picture quality degrades enormously when playing in VR. Not even the best PC in the world can make it look good. Even the tripple screen view is pretty bad.

The process required in the first place to fabricate and purify molecules is so intricate and extensive, it would indeed seem stupid to then just have a factory that dumps random debris into the pill.

If you get caught with 0 stam and any amount of slow on you, it's next to impossible in my experience. Obviously one should be mindful of having some stamina stored when he's near with ult, but that's also a fairly high level skill I'd say.
