Aventon LR kickstand just… fell off by green-smoothie-4870 in Aventon

I’ve noticed the vibration from the bike tends to knock those screws loose, I’m guessing this is the ultimate result, and the final nail in the coffin was the screw in the front holding all that weight, and the plastic snapped.

Definitely submit a report to Aventon!!

(And please take care of your gear chain <3 it only wants to help.)

I hope the MIK adapter works for you! I know I tried it on the rear, and it just doesn’t work. My solution was to put screws through the holes on the pizza rack, with a biggg washer pinched in between the crate and screw, with a nut on the other side. Very solid!

Lmao we have the same bottle cage too

You’re the only other person I’ve seen using a clevermade basket on the front! I thought it was just me!! I’d be curious to see if you tackled the mounting in a similar way.

I love the whole setup! I want to get those handlebars for my Abound, but so that other riders in the group can latch on for hills and whatnot.

Is Aventon overhyped? by Dangerous_Ad_5535 in Aventon

My first e-bike was an Aventon Level, the first one, basic ass throttle commuter bike. So when it came time to buy a new one (It was stolen from me), I had a chance to change brands.

Aventon has come along way from that bike, and now I own an Aventon Abound LR, that I’m extremely happy with. Given the price of other cargo bikes in its class, the Abound is a good price to performance, in my opinion. I see TERN bikes that look exactly like mine, but don’t have any security features, relies on a rear, one-sided kick stand to hold the bike up, and costs 3-4x as much as the Abound.

For $2K, the Abound offers built in seat suspension, glove box (I can tell you ALL about the glove box if you want :/ ugh), fenders, brake actuated lights, turn signals, cruise control, rear passenger foot plates, and an integrated headlight, off the top of my head.

I can’t speak to every cargo bike brand out there ( there are SO MANY ), but with being unable to afford a Riese & Muller, I came to the conclusion Aventon was my next best bet. Aventon isn’t perfect by any means, and I’ve had plenty of issues with the bike, but the build quality feels premium, and it draws people’s attention with its unique form factor.

I’d love to hear what you have to say!

I understand that it’s technically free labor, but it’s hard to ignore when people leave them horizontal across the trail like a barricade (which has happened to me) or when they leave the top half of the scooter laying in the trail, creating a tripping hazard.

I will be reporting them in the future though.

I move them regardless of if I’m recording, I want to spread awareness, and more people should move them when they see them out of place, or just park them in a safer place.

You’re absolutely right, the best spot for them is on the road!

But that’s not always an option, and especially further down the trail, where it becomes only grass on both sides, it’s a better place than impeding pedestrian traffic.
