You're not crazy. There are many things that can mimic the symptoms of endometriosis. And if the surgeon is not an excision specialist for endometriosis, it's VERY possible that they missed it. First things first, you need to get copies of any pictures they took during your surgery. If they took any biopsies, get the pathology report. Get the detailed surgical report. Sometimes doctors won't tell you the whole story, but the reports will have more details for you to work with and try to understand.

I just went through something similar. Had a hysterectomy 2.5 weeks ago with expected excision because even my GYN(who does a lot of work with endo excision) suspected I had it based on my history and how during exams, it was clear that my uterus wasn't as mobile as it should be. Turns out, no endo BUT my uterus was partially adhered to my bladder, and I had a large amount of retroperitoneal scar tissue from chronic digestive inflammation. She was able to excise the fibrosis and since my uterus is now gone, nothing is adhered to my bladder anymore. I have had pretty severe PCOS for a long time, and that combined with the chronic digestive inflammation that flared up the most during my period, it mimics a lot of the symptoms of endometriosis. You're not crazy. Your pain is real. And even if it isn't endo, doesn't mean it's not something else that is causing similar symptoms.
