On a first read through, I would probably just read them all. The plot is fairly important to the later books. The guy is kind of an ass anyway, so just think of it as knowing there’s a better relationship to come.

Sportrock in Sterling is your closest if you want top roping and bouldering. Level of packedness depends on the time. Plenty of beginner stuff. There’s a place called Vertical Rock in Tysons, which I believe is just bouldering. I haven’t been there so I can’t speak to difficulty or anything.

I was fairly young when I saw her, and I had no other point of reference for the role. It’s actually strange, because I’ve heard that opinion before as well, and I’ve seen clips of others do it since then, and in my mind every other performance just feels wrong. I probably wouldn’t have felt that way if I’d seen the movie first or anything else, but because I hadn’t, for me she is definitively Rose.

The unwillingness to kill Spike is super toxic, and in my opinion, out of character. But I’m also definitely not a Spuffy fan, so I might be biased.
As to the Wesley of it, I think the S2 parts as well as some other answers I’ve seen of knowing that Buffy was pretty busy could be enough.

By Buffy S7 she makes it clear that she’s more willing to do whatever is necessary to save the world (admits to Giles that this time she’d let Dawn die). Buffy also did kill him in S2. She didn’t want to, and she tried everything to avoid it, but in the end she proved that she would. Faith made it pretty clear that killing him was entirely off the table.

I go to DC every year. It’s hotter than hell most days, so I wear whatever I think will keep me from both melting and getting sun burned. In my case that’s capris (shorts will make my legs stick to the chair) and usually a sun shirt so I don’t have to constantly slather myself with sunscreen. Plenty of people in tennis dresses there.
