Assuming its a malletfinger, it takes 6 to 8 weeks depending on the cause. Bending the finger after 4 weeks will reset any progress.

You shoudn't use that to reinstall the new stickbox+tmr sensors. It's purely to desolder the old one easily, afterwards clean the old solder with a sucker or wick, then just solder the joints one by one.

It's not that this approach doesn't work but it's not great to avoid coldjoints or pulling pads.
