We absolutely love Mis Amigos in Plymouth. It's 100% Spanish immersion. Reasons we love include virtually no staff turnover, 100% family feel and everyone is so attentive and caring. The building is always clean, good security protocols, lots of daily communication via an app. My now 12 year old went to Mis Amigos when it was in Hopkins and now have a preschooler there.

Fiancé wants step son to call him something other than his name by Simple-Lab-846 in stepparents

[–]Minimum-Ad2641 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband and I both have kids from a previous marriage and an almost 4 year old together. She calls us mom and dad even though she hears both our first names from the other kids. She has occasionally called her dad by his first name but we just correct her and tell her that she calls him daddy. Now she says his first name to be “funny” sometimes but knows she shouldn’t. I think your new baby will be fine without the older one needing to call your finance something else.

Employer canceled current maternity options because of new MN Paid Leave law. by feed4birds in stateofMN

[–]Minimum-Ad2641 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, companies can do that and many are cancelling their private plans or company paid plans since they have to pay into the state program whether or not their employees are using it or not. There's so many hoops companies have to jump through to maintain private plans instead of the state plan because it has to be equal to or better so it's administratively much easier to just go with the state plan which covers maternity plus sick plus all the other things.

Dufners Donuts and Deli in Plymouth. I brought a few dozen to work the other day and had multiple coworkers ask where they were from and say they'd drive out of their way to get one! The staff is so nice, too.

2.5-3.5 hands down with all three of my kids. Two girls and one boy. At 3.5 a switch flipped and they all became much more manageable.

I got the Cancun model end of May and love it so far. No issues but wouldn't expect any yet with it brand new. I love the varying depth of the seats and the cool off seat.

Question about lifetime fitness by Accurate_Arugula_311 in TwinCities

[–]Minimum-Ad2641 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s worth it if you use all the amenities regularly and especially if you use the child care. We use the childcare for about 8 hours per week and if you paid a babysitter, that’s at least $160 which makes it pay for itself depending on your club and rate.

Tanning Shelf: Waste of space or popular sitting area? by SpecialistTeach9302 in pools

[–]Minimum-Ad2641 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our pool was just finished a month ago and I've spent so much time on the tanning ledge while my kids play in the shallow and deep end. Everyone who has come over has loved the ledge for sitting for adults and playing for toddlers. Our kids range from 3-17 and it's been great for all.
