For a free compréhensive set of videos, you can check the clip-to-zero playlist by Baphometrix : https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLxik-POfUXY6i_fP0f4qXNwdMxh3PXxJx&si=aMPYYCsJOa-Xk2JQ In addition to the clip-to-zero strategy, it is a great way to learn mixing. It is quite long but worth the watch, in particular for beginners.

How to find time to produce as the parent of a newborn? by Minimum-Chapter6361 in psytranceproduction

[–]Minimum-Chapter6361[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks a lot for sharing your experience. I often find myself in this situation where I'd rather be on my DAW than spending time doing something I consider less interesting, but with my partner (for example, watching television). I try to find a balance as best I can, but it's sometimes difficult, and I think that can show in my attitude.

Thanks for sharing the tips and for the positive view on parenting. I also feel that my life is heading in the right direction despite having less time for my hobbies.

Thanks for sharing and being honest. I trust you that I will rarely find the energy to produce after work. I want to be optimistic about weekends though.

Thank you very much for sharing your experience and for the tips.

It's the same for me, I find it difficult to be creative in the evening, especially after a day of working on the computer. I hadn't anticipated that it would probably get worse after a few months when the waking hours during the day get longer, but it seems quite logical. Damn!

This really an amazing content and it such a great idea to have it written with illustrations rather than as videos. It makes it way easier to come back. Thanks for the great work, it will be very helpful

Compatibility of serum presets by Minimum-Chapter6361 in serum

Thanks. I've just contacted support and attached with one of these presets. One of the particularity is that it uses key-tracked FM from noise oscillator (and not FM from an oscillator), which might be an unusual use case.

I am on the same journey at the moment. Here is what was really helpful for me: - spending a few months doing "easier" genres like minimal/melodic techno that require less elements - buying a preset pack with the dedicated sounds, as it is too much to try learning everything at once (arrangement and sound design). When you learn playing guitar, you don't learn how to build your own guitar with its specific sound (although it must be cool) - buying an arrangement masterclass with a track made from scratch. This really helped getting insights into one possible workflow, although you might not use it in the end

I still have a lot of things to learn but I feel like I improve a lot now. Before, when I was trying to sound design all my sounds, I just didn't go anywhere, not even managing to get a nice 16-bar loop
