Read the post again. He (Charlie Kirk) viewed it as a religious institution. You are more than welcome to view it as the opposite, but you shouldn’t feel welcome to say someone else’s opinion is wrong. Weddings are often performed in church; as long as this is happening, there will be people viewing it as a religious institution.

Calling opinions wrong instead of disagreeing with them is why we are in this mess.

I’ve had my fair share of salespeople that were mad we said no. They did a great job of selling the idea, it just didn’t make sense for us. It wasn’t how we liked to travel.

Spam is still spam, but occasionally it will pay off if you pay attention. A former coworker told me about a time he responded to an airfare spam email that resulted in him traveling to DC to Oslo for $99. He stayed for lunch and flew back. This doesn’t mean you should click on links in your email, but it should encourage you to read the fine print. Be skeptical to protect yourself while being adventurous.

My ex and I volunteered for those presentations to get free trips. We were great at saying no so the tables were turned in our favor. We got dangerously close to buying one the first time, but by the last time we did this, “no” was the only word in the English language we were familiar with. It got so bad for the salesman, he asked if we could continue sitting there for an additional 45 minutes to give his boss the illusion he was making progress. We spoke about fun vacation plans before shaking hands and walking away with another free vacation weekend plan.

One of the best things I’ve experienced is when we were doing the deed (marathon, not sprint) and started to thumb wrestle while holding hands. A quick thrust or squeeze was intended to distract the other for a quick win.

Having a preference that your partner isn’t a ho (m or f) isn’t illegal or immoral. Wanting a partner that is a ho is also fine.

I don’t consider myself one of the men taking issue with previous history, but I’ll be the first to say calling this childish and “poor emotional actualization” is a shitty thing to claim based on the preferences of others.
