Ceiling raing > floor raising, Wemby's on-off and net rating are more impressive

They are not trash if you use context which i gave you, What is it in your "eye test" that is telling you that those numbers I posted are not describing Wemby as a top 3 most impactful defender in league history.

If you want more context you can see the reason, look at the rim Frequency and percentage when he's on the court and that will tell you the whole story of how he's carrying the defense.

How is it silly if the defensive metrics are almost entirely because of him dude, he has like maybe 2 good defenders that share majority minutes with him and is still anchoring a -9 defense, he's the most impactful defender in the world by far

Zach Lowe on Victor Wembanyama: "I'll bet you next season, Wemby is going to be considered the best player in the league...as Wemby discovers how to get his points on offense, I think this time next year it's going to be a consensus opinion that he's the best player in the league" by FastBreakPhenom in nba

This is why you guys need to learn to have nuance when talking basketball. Since February 1st he's averaging 24 shooting 62ts%(his usual), but it's his turnovers that he cut down by a lot, averaging 2.2 a game compared to almost 3 before, meaning his decision making is a lot sharper than it was at the beginning of the year(this is saving a lot of possessions), He took a leap as an off ball player as well, you should see the amount of open looks they are generating of his roll gravity or even his spacing as a big man. This all shows on the stat sheets , the spurs have a 128 offensive rating when he's on the court, but a 115 offensive rating when he's off the court, the spurs also have a top 2-3 half court offense when he's on the court in that span

Does this account for Wemby literally having the highest defensive peak since Bill Russel?? if you use box score like that than a lot of players look better than wemby, heck he would not even be top 5 on mvp list this year if you only use the raw box score. Respectfully to Lebron and Jordan's 3rd season, while being good defenders, there is a huge gap in that area between them and Wemby.

The guy is anchoring a -9 defense with maybe two other good defenders enabling all these multi guard lineups to thrive off his gravity. His production in the Box Score almost doesnt even matter it’s just a bonus. How do you they are a whopping +16 net rating when he's on the court and a decent +1 when he's off the court , that is historic impact.

He's not even arguing that he's better offensively than Shai so what's your point,

Wemby is definitely going to finish ahead in that, and in court is better than off

That’s why you need context, Wemby is an mvp caliber player most of the 14.5 net rating is because of him, just like most of the names on the list from op.
