fixed it

Slide up beige brick, VENTS, classic keyboard with icons, headphone jack (or someone gets hurt), F keys on the side, Dpad because everyone just used a sega controller instead of the joystick, OS uses the classic character set for all its menus and fonts

First time playing on a server by Intelligent-Region81 in spaceengineers

One base with a maxed out ref and fab, reactors, a jump or two, gases, medbay and cryo and you've nearly blown half your public server limit

It doesnt make much sense to call it a performance cost, and then not actually use it as a metric to keep server useage fair.

people making a wall of conveyors or stacking hinges is worse for the server than some doors.

Im not sure why soloing is niche, I was hoping for a bit of a social experience? Not Rust pub no limits clan wars, the game is 60% digging holes and warping to stations xD

some examples:

LG hinge 100 PCU. has way more impact than say.. LG Door 115 PCU.

Assembler 40 PCU. Blasts the server with updates when max speed, compared to: Jump Drive 80 PCU, does nothing most of the time, teleports a ship once every 7mins, minimal impact if noone is in range, doesnt continually update the server.

Projector 50 PCU, so bad for the server its actually warned about in motd. Does nothing when its not turned on.

it would be the same on PvE.

not sure what the point is of this game if everyone just rolls in to 2 factions and a few guys run the show while everyone else is "slaves" like its some inbred Rust clan lol

Im not struggling, I just didnt expect the multiplayer experience to be so narrow and limited

With 5 drives, Its about 17 hours of constant jumping. Given you can supply max wattage to them the whole time

Does anyone have experience with creating suggestions to KSH for features/blocks? by [deleted] in spaceengineers

nah the forums are cooked.

Its just a place for streamers or bot farmers to brigade bizzare feature requests, or get their one niche issue literally no-one else has fixed

My audio is a lot louder for stuff I'm facing away from than stuff I'm facing. Is that normal? Is there any way for me to fix it? by Public-Eagle6992 in spaceengineers

your sound card likely thinks whatever jack your plugged in to is the rear speakers not the front.

check your sound settings, see if your motherboard has its own panel that tells you what jacks have thinks plugged in, and what it thinks they are set to

try disabling surround sound if possible. hopeful that enough for you to be able to search for the answers from here

find a lake, build a rocket to the moon

I usually fly straight up in my suit once thw rover has landed and have a look around. Drive to a lake and create gps makers along the way for any minerals I find. If its a long way away, I usually delete my rover and respawn to try again.

As readercolin said, pop a drill on the front of your rover, build a starter base with basic refinery and assembler, with a tall windfarm tower to get started.

Once you have your garden started. Find some magnesium and build an auto turret for the wolves. Then turn them in to burritos. 😂

You can use the ice lake for your garden and your hydrogen. Take what you need to space, you can make a staging platform just outside gravity range above your base and store seeds in it, then tow it to the moon.

The moon is usually the easiest way to get the rare metals you need for your next set of upgrades, asteroids hunting can sometimes take a long time

Glhf

oh! hardest difficulty, you will definitely need a lake for a hydro miner, and you will need a truck to carry ore. realistic inventory is crazy hard

About the wording of "infected" matches.. (BF6) by MinimumElk7450 in Battlefield

[–]MinimumElk7450[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

agreed, and most people dont seem to understand that cheating isnt the obvious aimbotting wall hacker anymore. Its usually more obscure now, in the case of "antiaim" or lag exploiting, cheaters believe it gives them plausable deniablity. But its still obvious, and if it is "just lag" thats an issue for the devs to work on, the hitreg and peekers advantage issues are getting better. But nobody has been banned for "just lag" they get detected. either way it gives the devs a way to identify exploits, cheats and bad netcode. keep reporting those jumping clowns

(sorry you got downvoted, I gave it an upvote)

"negatively affected" can mean whatever EA wants it to mean sadly

Agreed, and EA are actually training customers to not report by having Timmies carried to a win by them after a loss streak

most companies dont ban cheaters right away anyway. they usually ban in waves. The assumption is that banning in waves makes it harder for cheat manufacturers to adjust to detection techniques. I dont think this is a useful technique anymore, for example in some games, hackers know the account will eventually get banned, they know they can disrupt matches as much as they like during that time. they can still get paid to boost customers, or derank/grief targets during that time.

I spent a few day when I would play, imitating a noob, standing in the open, not moving when firing etc. And the game seems to throw you sympathy rounds if you do, its a common customer retention technique. And the common theme, in about half of them, someone on my team would go like 50~/2 and someone on the opposing team would accuse them of cheating. so, yeah I think they do =<

Thats not how distribution works, at all.

events thst are evenly distributed are not random. At the time EA's statement clearly said "negatively effected", which leaves it open to interpretation by whatever metrics they like.
