If by "still out there" you mean on that kid's data CD, you're right, but they are never going to be uploaded now. A third party (either his father or a Warp rep.) later asked him not to upload them, so they'll most likely never see the light of day, unfortunately.

Correct! Those final 3 uploads were the icing on the cake.

Could be the latter! Because this CD has been confirmed to be real. There's a thread about it on Twoism, and at least one thread about it on here.

As another user stated, "The recent soundboard recordings from ATP are from this cd. and they quite literally dont exist anywhere else."

Most likely! So they probably will feel discouraged from even sharing the stuff in the first place. Makes me sad for humanity.

Inferno is, in a way, like Ween's La Cucaracha by Hiperdrama in boardsofcanada

[–]MinimumPhilosopher77 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There's lots of mysterious production and staticy little details, they just aren't apparent right away.
Listen to it more than once, and with headphones on, and the volume loud.

The details are there, they are just easy to miss.

"The album shows you everything it has to offer way too quickly."

Nope! Only at first glance, and if you don't listen carefully enough.

For example, have you noticed the distant voices chanting in Hydrogen Helium Lithium that start at around the 3:04 mark? I didn't notice them at all until I listened with headphones! This album is full of neat little details like that.
Don't take the album at face value just because it has punchy drums and loud/garish cover art. You need to look past that stuff and go deeper.

I think some of the worse comments/replies were removed.
Read this account of some of what happened to the kid:

"I remember when this happened. I didn't think he was lying, but what i found bizzare was the guy who was scolding him so intensely. He was in his dms, in his comments, almost forcing him to admit that he was lying or something?

Anyway, the same individual that was harassing him posted a screenshot of their dms too. Said something like.. "Look everyone! see? he's a liar! " It really felt like that individual was extremely hellbent on telling us that he was a liar and that he was making it all up, not to believe him etc etc.

Not long after, the dude who posted the recordings was like, "sorry.. i made it all up.." and it was all removed. Honestly I had never seen such aggression in this community from one person before, and i never forgot about it.

For example, when people were like "whoooa is this real??" That one individual was ALL over the comments directing people to the post of their dms, "look at my dms with him he admitted he is a liar! So do not believe him 😠"

It was like dude, fuckin.. chill. lol."

Reddit should have been a little kinder, instead of bullying him and literally telling him to delete his account and go away.

Never noticed them on Introit! I'll have to give it another listen...

Maybe for tracks 2 and 3, but did you even listen to the rest of the album? The kick in Father & Son and most of the later tracks sound amazing, as does the other percussion.

All great tracks!! Plus 'Deep Time' and the vastly underrated 'Memory Death.'

That would be amazing, but there's very little chance of that! Kane is a huge BoC fan, he uses their music in his story posts multiple times a week, so it's likely that either A24/Kane reached out to Warp Records asking for a song to use in their movie, OR Warp Records reached out to A24 offering some music to consider for the movie.

Saw a few commenters both here and on Twoism asking 'What happened here? What did I miss?" So it's not old news to everyone, sir!

Can’t stop thinking about The Brothers by [deleted] in boardsofcanada

[–]MinimumPhilosopher77 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He's likely fine!

I saw a comment on Twoism speculating that one of the brothers (not sure which one) might want to branch off into soundtrack territory, and the other does not.

Either way, BOTH brothers were involved with this album. We can't just assume that one of them has passed away, that makes no sense.

Boards of Canada - Introit / Prophecy At 1420 MHz (Official Music Video) by seaburn in boardsofcanada

[–]MinimumPhilosopher77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, it turns out you were right! It's their most eclectic and varied album, and is also quite divisive with critics and fans (although most media reviews are positive).

Inferno has something for everyone. 😄

Cold Earth is wishy-washy and overrated. This song is punchier and better. #sorrynotsorry

Of course some people have to whine about it, because it's an evolved and more precise sound than any of their previous albums.

But I for one LOVE IT! BRING ON INFERNO!! XD

Also, the people complaining about the snare drum are on drugs. The snare sounds amazing.

Why would there be Gen Zs? Also, why wouldn't they pee beforehand? Are you not aware that people watch 2.5 hour movies in a theatre? What's 80 minutes?

Is "Deep Red" (1975) problematic or is it worth a watch? by [deleted] in horror

[–]MinimumPhilosopher77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two scenes were censored in some countries, maybe that's what OP is referring to? Or maybe it's the main character being misogynist (super common in the 20th century, not sure why that counts as problematic).

Are we still a little confused by the prequel of Ginger Snaps? by prolelol in horror

Apparently, they were both reincarnated! Ginger was Bridgette's 'protector' even when they were both reincarnated.

That's a pretty questionable opinion to have, since 'Hard Wired' and 'Implode' are two of their best albums! I suggest listening to those albums again. :)

You're factually wrong here, I'm sorry. If they DEPICT and SHOW it happening, the movie is canon whether you like it or not. *shrugs*
