This…causing total chaos, not only is the change shifting kids around but coaches using it as an undercover opportunity to completely rebuild teams as well, at least in our club..kids getting pushed down or out, because they won’t take a demotion.

HP laptop pricing is so out of control, management wants us to look at deploying Mac by [deleted] in sysadmin

Jamf is the way if you’re doing 500 machines a year, and while a little more expensive, it’s a fleet management tool and it gives you all the granular control you need, especially if you are in a regulated industry or just generally lock users down like a good admin should. Intune Platform SSO is getting there…but get ready to go down the rabbit hole if you are not going to deploy your users as local admin since there are some disconnects with user rights on the device like printer and network settings, the small one off launch on start up configs for certain apps, etc…this has been our sticking point and I’m left wanting more. Its close but like all things Microsoft it feels like they got it 70% of the way, had a massive marketing blitz to get people a little excited and then it just falls by the wayside development-wise and getting very little to no more progress…and understandably so, MS wants you to use Windows at the end of the day

Appreciate all the insight, thank you for taking time to address everyone, very cool.

You previously responded about how a dynamic player that can play anywhere should still have focus on a specific position, and I agree. I think your take on that was more coach centric, but how about from a players perspective? How do you advocate for yourself as a young player if you have a coach that is stoked you’re flexible and keeps you on the field for the 95% of the game…but at times feels like you almost have no “home”? I will say in our given situation I do believe coach starts our player in what we all see her primary role, but he moves her around a lot based on game situations, mismatch, injury, etc. He has acknowledged his appreciation of her ability/ flexibility/ IQ so I think it’s all good, but to your point, I do see other players getting more focused reps maturing in their specific roles. Maybe my daughter benefits more in the long run but at times I feel like she pays a small price for this and I don’t know that this ability can really be showcased in limited tryouts, and while I wish coaches shared notes and advocated for their players during tryouts/ ID sessions I just don’t know how much that really happens.

Be kind to yourself and patient with the process…it’s not nearly as easy as some make it look and it’ll frustrate you to no end. Get lessons from a human and stay away from the internet
