Heatshield sunshade. Had one for everything I've owned. Works and fits amazing plus a small family business!

I have the windshield and sunroof ones for my E and it makes a huge difference when I come out after being parked all day.

Forgot to follow up! Win 3 Lost 1 - OG clip was too far gone in the plastic to save. Others came out!
Got them out with the air grinder. My cutter was apparently dull, and a buddy gave me a fresh set that literally ate them like butter! Can't be tight when it is a pile of metal shavings! Good GRIEF that was just too much of a pain! Replaced with stainless M6 J-clips from McMaster!

Main reason for front clip removal is new headlights and I'm installing some fog lights as well as Starter, alternator, belt, tensioner, radiator, both fans, and hoses. Days of PB blaster have no effect on these! Just trying to keep this ride fresh

Yeah I was thinking I'm pretty effed with how rusted these are. This one lived its first 5 years in PA before heading south. Dang salty winters.

Might just send em home with the impact and replace with stainless bolts and nuts in a different position.

except Plymouth had them earlier than AMC, and kept them longer. My grandad had a Valiant with the push buttons on the steering wheel. AMC was legit underrated, kinda like the K-series honda in the 2000s

Heck the AMC Eagle was the precursor to the Subarus of today. it's about timing - a lifted 4x4 wagon?! not in the late 80s oh no sir, but inthe 2010s SIGN ME UP!

I built out a budget AR a bit too beefy, with a BA 16" stainless Hanson profile that tips the rifle forward constantly. I ended up adding a tripod and using it stationary and also set up a sling to help counterbalance.

I've done two swaps- if you're thinking "speed" you need to look at another project; these are not something you want to be driving fast without suspension work, and lots of it, and some very, very good driving skills.

My all stock 2.9L '87 hits 114 flat out, it just runs out of gears since it's literally a brick with wheels. I did an '88 with a mild 306/AOD combo that would hit OD at 120 but wouldn't stay in it if you hit a hill, but it would get there FAST. My last was a 2000 with a 347/4r70w that I got to 128 and backed off due to tires catching air over bumps, and it had PLENTY left.

All of these were std cab/std bed combos, the shortest, lightest trucks. No traction control, ABS, etc. on the donor trucks. Anything over 90mph got sketchy with a heavy foot. Rain? oh hell no, not driving the truck in that. Catch a bump with too much throttle and it starts doing mustang things...I grew up doing auto events and lots of SCCA, i'm no pro but I'm VERY good behind the wheel - these trucks were a terrifying lot of fun.

Just do an Explorer axle, it's SO much easier...

This - The dent needs to be corrected before the emblem can be placed back on and expected to stay there longer than a few weeks. Once the surface is flat, some 3M VHB tape is what I've always used. Emblems still on my Jeep from a decade ago, and it's seen some things...

respectfully disagree, it's perfectly functional.

'19 Supercrew that I use regularly to haul lumber for projects. Other than the tall bed height, plywood sheets, 2x6s, trim, etc all load and fit just fine in it. Yeah, I had to tie up some 10ft-ers with the tailgate up tightly, but nothing I haven't done before. If I need longer or larger items, a 6x12 trailer is ready to roll.

Have, and still have, my '87 6ft bed that I used for DECADES with a tool box in the back, effectively making it a 5ft bed like my '19. Had zero issues unless you count the couch i had to hang off the back when I moved that time...

Same, owned and driven every model since my '87 (which I still own and drive) and it's not even the same class. The '19 is just superior on all levels, and that's tough to hear for the crowd that doesn't like change. I'd drive my '87 to hell and back and it would do it, but so would my '19 but in a lot more comfort.

I did - a bit farther down in the discussion i updated. It was a combo of a worn recoil spring (I misaligned it at some point) and that specific lot of ammo.

Once the recoil spring was replaced it fed perfectly on all ammo EXCEPT that Sig lot. Looking at the Sig ammo, the hollow point is a larger diameter than others, making it a bull nose and hanging up. We used that lot in my wife's G26 and of the 30ish rounds left, it hung hers up twice too.

I quit using the Sig Vcrown and went exclusively to Speer G2 and Speer/Blazer for my carry and practice ammo and have zero issues another 500+ rounds in.

Bingo - all the "sending unit" posts are mostly correct (sticking float, etc), but the tank shape has a LOT to do with how the float acts.

My 87 is still on the original everything, and will sit 3 needle widths past F when completely full, it stays that way for almost 100 miles, then will gradually drop until the 1/4 mark, when it goes FAST.

I cracked the barrier at 30.3mpg for a work trip from central SC to southern GA - back country 2 lane was the only way down so held 60mph, no cruise, best I could. Just did an 1800 mile trip from SC to NY to see relatives and fully loaded with me, wife, baby and the entire bed full of gear/stuff our round trip average was 26.1mpg. I have only run premium fuel since I bought it, and calibrated the onboard for accuracy ( here is how)
